    • Collects fourth win
Marsh (4-1) allowed three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out five over six innings to earn the win over the Tigers on Tuesday.

Advice: Marsh completed six innings for just the second time this year, earning his second quality start in the process. He gave up a two-run triple to Matt Vierling and an RBI single to Colt Keith as the Tigers rallied in the fourth inning, but that was all of the damage. Marsh has limited opponents to one earned run or less in five of his eight starts this season, maintaining a strong 2.72 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 36:12 K:BB over 43 innings. He's projected to make his next start on the road in Minnesota. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:15 pm

    • Alec Marsh fans five in win over Tigers
Alec Marsh allowed three earned runs on five hits over six innings, earning the win in the Royals’ win over the Tigers.

Advice: Marsh was able to sit in cruise control for much of this one. The Royals gave him a six run lead to work with early in the game, as Marsh went on to strike out five batters while allowing just three runs – all of which came in the fourth inning. Now sitting at 4-1 on the year and boasting a 2.72 ERA, Marsh will look to earn his fifth win of the season on Monday against the Twins. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:10 pm

    • Robert Gasser fails to record strikeout vs. Fish
Robert Gasser was charged with five runs (four earned) over six innings on Tuesday in a no-decision against the Marlins.

Advice: On the heels of a pair of impressive outings to open his big-league career, Gasser turned in one of the more bizarre pitching lines of the season as he managed to allow five runs, despite not allowing a home run or walking a batter. He also didn’t record a strikeout. Weird. We’re not totally sure what to make of it, but we’d bank on the strikeouts coming back when he squares off against the Cubs on Monday in his next outing. • Turns in quality start
Gilbert allowed three runs on eight hits and a walk over six innings in a no-decision Monday. He struck out one during the win over the Yankees.

Advice: Gilbert coughed up two runs in the first inning but was still able to settle in for a quality start. He produced a stellar 1.69 ERA through his first seven starts but has seen that climb to 3.20 after allowing 14 runs over his last 16.2 frames. On the bright side, two of those outings were quality starts. Gilbert recorded only one strikeout with five whiffs, with both setting new season lows. His next start is lined up to be in Washington this weekend. Rotowire.com Monday, 7:53 pm

    • Gilbert gets quality start and no-decision Monday
Logan Gilbert allowed three runs in six innings and got a no-decision against the Yankees on Monday.

Advice: Gilbert recorded only one strikeout and allowed eight hits and a walk. He battled in a tough matchup against the Yankees on the road. This was his lowest strikeout total of the season by far, but otherwise Gilbert has been fairly consistent. He’s had eight quality starts in 10 tries this season. The 27-year-old right-hander is set to face the Nationals on the road on Saturday.

    • Pablo López crushed for seven runs Monday in loss
Pablo López was torched for a season-high seven runs over five innings on Monday in a loss to the Nationals.

Advice: López coughed up early homers to Luis García Jr. and Jesse Winker before things came completely unraveled in the fifth inning when he surrendered run-scoring singles to Jacob Young, Joey Meneses and Garcia. He struck out five and only handed out one free pass. He’ll bring an inflated 4.72 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 63/9 K/BB ratio across 55 1/3 innings (10 starts) into a home outing on Sunday against the Rangers. Rotoworld Monday, 6:45 pm

    • Shelled in loss
Lopez (4-3) took the loss Monday against Washington, allowing seven runs on eight hits and one walk over five innings. He struck out five.

Advice: Lopez was done in by the long ball, yielding two homers in a game for the second time this season. The Minnesota right-hander entered 2024 with a career 1.1 HR/9 and now sports a 1.5 HR/9 in 55.1 innings this season. Lopez's ERA sits at 4.72, almost a full tick higher than his career 3.86 mark entering the season. He is tentatively scheduled to make his next start against Texas at home this weekend. • Strikes out 10 in win
Lugo (7-1) earned the win Saturday over the Athletics, allowing two runs on six hits and a walk while striking out 10 over 5.2 innings.

Advice: Lugo was able to limit the damage to a two-run home run by Seth Brown in the second inning. This was Lugo's second straight start with double-digit strikeouts, though he came up one out short of a fifth straight quality start. The right-hander is now at a 1.79 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 58:13 K:BB through 65.1 innings over 10 starts this season. He's projected to make his next start on the road against the Rays. • Lugo strikes out 10, picks up seventh win Saturday
Seth Lugo allowed two earned runs and struck out 10 in 5 2/3 innings and picked up the win in the Royals’ 5-3 victory over the Athletics on Saturday.

Advice: The win was Lugo’s seventh of the season and his ERA is 1.79. His 58 strikeouts are in the top 15 for qualified starters. The Royals can’t ask for more than what they’re getting from him right now and the same goes for fantasy managers. The 34-year-old right-hander is scheduled to face the Rays on the road next weekend.
