    • Productive as leadoff hitter
Pham went 3-for-7 with a walk, a run scored and an RBI across both games of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Nationals.

Advice: Pham has served as the White Sox's leadoff hitter for seven straight games, and he's hit .346 with two runs scored, four RBI and a stolen base in that span. He's lacked power -- he has five extra-base hits across 70 plate appearances -- but has otherwise contributed a well-rounded fantasy line since joining Chicago on April 26. • Ronel Blanco plans to appeal 10-game suspension
Ronel Blanco told reporters late Tuesday that he plans to appeal his automatic 10-game suspension.

Advice: Blanco was ejected by third base umpire Laz Diaz during Tuesday’s start against the Athletics, and his glove was confiscated, following a foreign substance check at the outset of the fourth inning. Astros manager Joe Espada told reporters afterwards that Blanco had a mixture of rosin and sweat on his glove hand, which is illegal under league rules. The 30-year-old righty has denied using an illegal substance, but is still facing an automatic 10-game suspension under league rules, which he plans to appeal. There should be a resolution on the matter at some point later this week. Rotoworld Today, 3:20 am

    • Swats fourth homer Tuesday
Rafaela went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 5-4 extra-inning win over the Rays.

Advice: It was a roller coaster night for the 23-year-old. Rafaela gave Boston a 3-1 lead in the fifth inning by taking Aaron Civale deep for his fourth long ball of the year, but his throwing error in the top of the 11th nearly gave Tampa Bay the win. The Red Sox were able to tie the game back up in the bottom of the frame, though, in part thanks to Rafaela's sacrifice bunt, before winning it in the 12th. Rafaela has collected a hit in 10 of 12 contests in May, batting .275 (11-for-40) on the month with two doubles and two homers, but his 1:11 BB:K is a warning sign that his numbers could swoon quickly as they did in April (.515 OPS in 26 games.) • Fans six in no-decision
Civale came away with a no-decision in Tuesday's 5-4 extra-innings loss to the Red Sox, giving up three runs on five hits over five innings. He struck out six without walking a batter.

Advice: The right-hander kept Boston off the board his first time through the order, but a two-run double by Dominic Smith in the fourth inning and a solo shot by Ceddanne Rafaela in the fifth sent Civale packing after 76 pitches (53 strikes). He's failed to last more than five innings in any of his last five starts, a stretch in which he's stumbled to an 8.87 ERA and 1.71 WHIP, and his rotation spot could be in jeopardy if he doesn't turn things around by the time Ryan Pepiot (leg) and Shane Baz (elbow) are ready to rejoin the team. Civale lines up to make his next start on the road this weekend in Toronto. Rotowire.com Today, 12:49 am
    • Fades in no-decision
Flexen came away with a no-decision in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Nationals, giving up three runs on seven hits and a walk over 4.2 innings. He struck out five.

Advice: The right-hander was cruising early, scattering four singles over four scoreless innings to begin the afternoon, but Flexen hit a wall in the fifth and left the game after 86 pitches (58 strikes) with the score tied 3-3. Some fatigue was perhaps understandable after he's thrown more than 90 pitches in each of his prior two starts, his longest outings of the season so far. Flexen will take a 4.46 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 30:14 K:BB through 40.1 innings into his next start, which lines up to come in Yankee Stadium this weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 12:19 am

    • Perfect at plate in loss
Haniger went 3-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Royals.

Advice: Haniger took Kansas City closer James McArthur deep in the ninth inning, but it didn't turn into a rally for the Mariners. The homer was Haniger's second in May and sixth of the year, but he's hitting a poor .182 (8-for-44) this month. He started the season well, and he's now slashing .214/.277/.372 with 21 RBI, 17 runs scored and five doubles through 40 contests. Haniger continues to fill a near everyday role between right field and designated hitter. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:11 pm

    • Mitch Haniger goes 3-for-3, homers versus Royals
Mitch Haniger finished 3-for-3 with a homer and a walk against the Royals on Tuesday.

Advice: In a late change, Haniger got to DH tonight, as Mitch Garver was scratched. Really, Haniger should be DHing fairly regularly at this point, but that’s pretty much impossible as a result of the Garver signing. There’s also the argument that Haniger shouldn’t be playing much at all, given his .214/.277/.372 line and poor defense in right field. He came through in this one, though. • Anthony Volpe doubles, drives in one vs. Twins
Anthony Volpe went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Twins.

Advice: Volpe doubled in the second inning to drive home Gleyber Torres, giving the Yankees their second run of the inning and an early 2-1 lead. Volpe pushed his current hitting streak to seven games in this one and is now slashing .265/.333/.469 for the month of May. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:36 pm

    • Civale doesn’t miss bats in no-decision vs BOS
Aaron Civale allowed three runs on five hits in five innings in a no-decision against the Red Sox on Tuesday.

Advice: Civale also struck out six and walked nobody on the night. However, he did allow seven hard-hit baseballs, including a home run to Ceddanne Rafaela, and posted a minuscule five percent walk rate. Yes, Civale got just two whiffs on 37 swings all evening. It’s hard to get overly excited about the strikeouts when he’s unable to get swings and misses. Overall, the season has been a disappointment for Civale. The right-hander has a 5.83 ERA and is not longer much more than a streamer at this point. It’s hard to trust him against the Blue Jays this weekend. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:29 pm
