    • Anthony Santander smashes game-tying homer
Anthony Santander went 2-for-5 with a solo home run against the Phillies on Friday.

Advice: Santander’s eighth inning home run was the first Matt Strahm has allowed all season and just the first run he’s allowed at all since opening day. Then Santander put one to the warning track in the 10th inning which nearly won the game for Baltimore. Also, his first inning single was smoked 114.4 MPH - the hardest he’s ever hit a ball in his career. That’s a great sign for the power hitting switch-hitter moving forward. • Sean Manaea strikes out seven in win
Sean Manaea allowed one earned run in five-plus innings of work on Friday in a 2-1 win over the Padres. He struck out seven and walked one.

Advice: This was a nice bounce-back for Manaea after a rough outing in London last weekend. He leaned on his two-seamer for a bevy of called strikes and whiffs as he crowded the Padres hitters all night. Their only hard-hit ball was Jackson Merrill’s impressive solo shot to center field through the rain. Still, Manaea is a true five-and-dive throwing fewer than six innings in five straight outings and in 10 of his 13 starts this season. Rotoworld 48 minutes ago

    • Matt Waldron allows two runs across seven innings
Matt Waldron kept the Mets at bay through seven innings on Friday allowing just three hits and two earned runs. He walked two and struck out two.

Advice: This was another solid start for Waldron without being as dominant as his last handful. His knuckleball danced through the rainy night sky in Queens and the Mets had plenty of trouble squaring it up. He’ll take a 3.66 ERA into his next start against the Phillies. • Returning Wednesday
Manager Dave Roberts said Friday that Miller (shoulder) will return from the injured list and start Wednesday against the Rockies, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: Right shoulder inflammation has kept Miller on the injured list since mid-April, but he's been playing in rehab games since May 26. The 25-year-old righty put up a 7.80 ERA and 1.80 WHIP alongside a 10:8 K:BB ratio through 15 innings in the minors, though he was able to touch 99 mph with his fastball during his last outing. He will be welcomed back to the big leagues by a Rockies offense that currently ranks 17th in the majors with a .687 OPS. Rotowire.com Today, 3:47 pm

    • Bobby Miller to rejoin Dodgers’ rotation Wednesday
Dodgers’ skipper Dave Roberts told reporters on Friday that Bobby Miller (shoulder) will rejoin the team’s starting rotation on Wednesday against the Rockies in Colorado.

Advice: While the results weren’t there in his final rehab start on Thursday, Miller came through the game healthy and that’s all the really matters at this point. He has made just three starts at the big league level this season, posting a 5.40 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and an 18/6 K/BB ratio over 11 2/3 innings of work. It’s unclear if the Dodgers will switch to a six-man rotation, or if James Paxton or Gavin Stone will get bumped from the rotation to accommodate Miller’s return. Rotoworld Today, 3:42 pm

    • Still not doing on-field work
Tucker (lower leg) won't play in Saturday's game against Detroit and has yet to participate in on-field activities, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports.

Advice: There was initially optimism that Tucker would be able to return once eligible Friday, but a return doesn't seem imminent considering the 27-year-old hasn't resumed baseball activities yet and has already been ruled out for Saturday's game. The Astros could keep Tucker out through the weekend and activate him for a three-game road series against the White Sox that kicks off Tuesday. Rotowire.com Today, 2:20 pm

    • Kyle Tucker (shin) won’t be ready on Saturday
Astros’ manager Joe Espada told reporters on Friday that Kyle Tucker (shin) will not be ready to be activated from the injured list on Saturday.

Advice: While he noted that Tucker is “moving in the right direction” he also admitted that Tucker is not doing baseball activities yet. While a return at some point over the weekend hasn’t been ruled out yet, it seems unlikely if he’s not doing any baseball activities yet. A more likely scenario has the 27-year-old superstar outfielder returning to action next week. Rotoworld Today, 2:10 pm

    • Starting rehab assignment Sunday
Kremer (triceps) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: Kremer is slated to throw around four innings in what will be his first outing since he landed on the 15-day injured list three weeks ago with a right triceps strain. It could be the only rehab start he needs before rejoining the Orioles' rotation. If that's the case, he would be set up to start next weekend in Houston. Rotowire.com Today, 1:33 pm

    • Dean Kremer to make rehab start on Sunday
Dean Kremer (triceps) will make a minor league rehab start at Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday.

Advice: Orioles’ manager Brandon Hyde told reporters on Friday that Kremer will work around four innings in that outing. It’s likely that he’ll need a second rehab start after that one before he’s ready to return to the Orioles’ rotation. In the meantime, it should give Cade Povich at least another week to establish himself in the O’s rotation. Rotoworld Today, 1:25 pm
