    • Defeated by Dodgers on Monday
Quantrill (6-5) took the loss against the Dodgers on Monday, allowing three runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out three batters over five innings.

Advice: Quantrill came into the contest having tossed back-to-back scoreless starts, but he wasn't able to maintain that level of sharpness Monday. The right-hander fell behind 3-0 through two frames, and though he held Los Angeles scoreless for the remainder of his outing, he didn't get the run support necessary to be taken off the hook for the loss. Quantrill has had a few poor appearances this season but has generally been a positive addition to the Rockies' rotation, recording a 3.43 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 59:33 K:BB through 84 innings. • Goes deep Monday
Bailey went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk against the Cubs in Monday's 7-6 victory.

Advice: Bailey brought San Francisco to within two runs with his eighth-inning solo blast. It was just his second extra-base hit over his past 16 contests, a span in which he's batted .264 (14-for-53). Bailey has a modest five long balls on the campaign, but he's been solid offensively with a .286/.360/.435 slash line, 23 RBI, 18 runs, two steals, an 11.5 percent walk rate and a 19.0 percent strikeout rate over 179 plate appearances. • Cal Quantrill surrenders three runs in loss
Cal Quantrill lost to the Dodgers after allowing three runs in five innings on Monday.

Advice: This could and probably should have been worse, given that Quantrill allowed seven hits and walked three, but it goes as a pretty routine loss. Quantrill dropped to 6-5 with a 3.43 ERA. The sooner the Rockies trade him, the better the return will be. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:08 pm
    • Bailey blasts fifth home run against Cubs Monday
Patrick Bailey went 2-for-4 with a walk and a solo home run against the Cubs on Monday.

Advice: Bailey’s home run was his fifth of the season. His solo shot in the eighth inning brought the Giants to within two runs before their ninth inning comeback. Bailey continues to hit as his average is up to ,286 with a .795 OPS and 23 RBI in 48 games with the Giants this year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:37 pm

    • Michael Massey starting rehab at AAA
Royals 2B Michael Massey (back) will begin a rehab assignment Tuesday night with Triple-A Omaha.

Advice: Massey has been sidelined with a back injury since May 26th. The 26-year-old has had two instances of the same back injury this season, and this most recent one required an anti-inflammatory injection, which is not great news. However, he does seem to be on the way back, which is good news for the Royals and fantasy managers. He should slot right back into an everyday role when he returns, but it might take him at least a week to get to that point. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:33 pm

    • Hitting bench in Turner's return
Sosa is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Padres.

Advice: After Trea Turner was placed on the 10-day injured list May 4, Sosa took over as the Phillies' primary shortstop and slashed an impressive .275/.336/.505 with four home runs, three stolen bases, 22 runs and 17 RBI in 32 games while the two-time All-Star was sidelined. Turner will make his return from the IL on Monday and will immediately step back into his everyday role at shortstop, leaving Sosa without a regular spot in the lineup. Manager Rob Thomson said earlier this month that Sosa could get some reps in the outfield upon Turner's return, but David Dahl, Brandon Marsh and Nick Castellanos will form the Phillies' outfield trio from left to right Monday. With no path to steady playing time at the moment, Sosa looks to be a drop candidate outside of deeper mixed leagues or NL-only leagues. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:28 pm

    • Ready for rehab assignment
Massey (back) will begin a rehab assignment Tuesday at Triple-A Omaha.

Advice: On the shelf with a low back ligament sprain, Massey received an injection May 31 and appears to have responded favorably. He was cleared to resume baseball activities early last week and has checked out fine after steadily increasing the intensity of his hitting and running over the last several days. The Royals haven't determined how long Massey's rehab assignment will last, but he may only need two or three games with Omaha to get his timing back at the plate before potentially making his return from the 10-day injured list as soon as this weekend. • Could be activated June 24
Contreras (forearm) could be activated from the 10-day injured list as soon as next Monday, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Contreras will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Memphis on Tuesday and might require less than a week of rehab games before rejoining the Cardinals lineup. Woo cautions that the catcher's timeline for rejoining the big club remains tentative, and a firmer return date may not come into focus until Contreras gets a few rehab games under his belt. • Willson Contreras (forearm) starts rehab assignment
Willson Contreras (forearm) will begin a minor league rehab assignment on Tuesday with Triple-A Memphis.

Advice: Contreras has been cleared to return to game action and is targeting a return to St. Louis before the end of the month. The 32-year-old backstop has made a rapid recovery from surgery last month to repair a fractured left forearm. There’s a chance he’s back by the start of next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:27 am
