    • Picks up easy win
Gilbert (6-5) got the win Tuesday over the Padres, allowing three runs on four hits and a walk while striking out seven over 7.2 innings.

Advice: All three runs against Gilbert came at the tail end of his outing. He allowed a solo home run to Jake Cronenworth in the seventh, and Kyle Higashioka added on with a two-run blast in the eighth to force Gilbert's exit from the game. Tuesday was just the third time this year he's allowed multiple home runs in a start, but also was the first time this season he's picked up a win while allowing more than one run. The 27-year-old recently was named an All-Star for the first time in his four-year career, and rightfully so, as he sports a 2.94 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 115:25 K:BB in 125.1 innings so far. He lines up for a Sunday start against the Angels this weekend before the league heads into the All-Star break. Rotowire.com Today, 6:01 am

    • Logan Gilbert pitches into eighth in victory
Logan Gilbert allowed three runs in 7 2/3 innings in defeating the Padres on Tuesday.

Advice: Gilbert looked far too good tonight to actually have his ERA increase, but that’s what happened after he gave up a solo homer to Jake Cronenworth in the seventh and a two-run shot to Kyle Higashioka with two outs in the eighth. On the plus side, it’s the first time this year that he’s allowed more than one run and notched a win. Apart from the homers, he gave up just two other hits in the contest, walked one and struck out seven in moving to 6-5 with a 2.94 ERA. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:06 pm

    • Yields seven runs in loss
Rea (8-3) allowed seven runs on six hits and two walks while striking out three over five innings, taking the loss Tuesday versus the Pirates.

Advice: Rea had his best start of the year last Wednesday at Colorado, turning in seven shutout innings, but he followed it up with a season-high seven runs against this time. The right-hander's lack of consistency is a little concerning, though this was just the second time in his last eight appearances that he's given up more than three runs. For the season, Rea is sporting a 3.81 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 69:30 K:BB through 99.1 innings over 18 appearances (16 starts). He's tentatively projected for a home start versus the Nationals in his next outing. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:05 pm

    • Opens scoring with homer
Reynolds went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 12-2 win over the Brewers.

Advice: Reynolds already has four homers and 10 RBI over eight games in July, continuing his surge that lasted nearly all of June. The outfielder is batting .331 since the start of June, with 10 long balls over 34 contests in that span. He's up to 17 homers, 56 RBI, 42 runs scored, five stolen bases and a .280/.344/.486 slash line through 91 games as the centerpiece of the Pirates' offense this season. • Colin Rea hit hard by Pirates in loss
Colin Rea allowed seven earned runs in five-plus innings on Tuesday against the Pirates. He struck out three, walked two, and took the loss.

Advice: Rea was humming right along until a disastrous sixth inning where he surrendered five consecutive hits before giving way to Bryse Wilson who promptly gave up a grand slam to Joey Bart that added three more earned runs to Rea’s ledger. All in all, he allowed 11 hard-hit balls in a start to forget. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:56 pm

    • Grabs fifth win
Pepiot (5-5) earned the win Tuesday over the Yankees, allowing one run on four hits and three walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: After allowing a run in the first inning, Pepiot held New York scoreless over his final 4.2 frames, allowing just two additional hits before the Rays turned to the bullpen with two outs in the sixth. It's the first win since June 4 for the 26-year-old Pepiot -- he'd gone 0-3 with a 5.40 ERA in his previous five outings. Overall, his ERA sits at 4.20 with a 1.13 WHIP and 90:31 K:BB across 16 starts (81.1 innings) this season. Pepiot is currently lined up to face the Guardians at home this weekend in his next outing. • Colt Keith stays hot with home run
Colt Keith went 2-for-5 with three runs scored, two RBI, and a home run in a loss to the Guardians on Tuesday.

Advice: Keith had a 101.4 mph single while his home run was just a 362-foot shot at 94.5 mph off the bat that had an xBA of .170 and would have only been a home run in 17 parks. Still, it counts the same and was the rookie’s eighth of the season and his fourth in his last seven games. Over those seven games, he’s hitting .423 with those four home runs, six RBI, and one steal. Since May 1st, he also ranks first in batting average, second in slugging, and second in OPS among second basemen with at least 100 plate appearances. He needs to be rostered in all formats right now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:34 pm

    • Goes deep again Tuesday
Keith 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and two additional runs scored in Tuesday's 9-8, 10-inning loss to the Guardians.

Advice: It's hard to believe that Keith was batting just .154 with no home runs at the end of April, as the rookie has turned it on since then. In 55 games from May onward, Keith is batting .294 with eight long balls and 27 RBI, and he has four homers and seven RBI over the last six contests alone. The 22-year-old was a promising prospect in the minors and he's starting to deliver on that promise in the majors, much to the delight of fantasy managers. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:22 pm

    • Tagged for nine runs in loss
Miller (1-2) took the loss Tuesday against the Phillies, allowing nine runs on 10 hits and three walks across four innings. He struck out two.

Advice: Miller allowed three runs in the second inning before Philadelphia opened things up in the fourth, where it scored six more times on five hits, highlighted by a Trea Turner grand slam. The 25-year-old Miller has had a rough time since returning from the injured list in mid-June, allowing 19 runs over his last 17.1 innings. His ERA is up to an ugly 8.07 with a 1.83 WHIP and 27:18 K:BB across seven starts this season. Despite his struggles, Miller figures to stick in the rotation for now due to Tyler Glasnow (back) joining Yoshinobu Yamamoto (shoulder) and Walker Buehler (hip) on the IL. He's currently lined up for a road matchup this weekend in Detroit. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:22 pm
