    • Delivers key hits Sunday
Gorman went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and a walk in Sunday's 5-4 extra-inning win over the Phillies.

Advice: Gorman opened the scoring with a two-run blast in the first inning and also provided the Cardinals with their winning run by adding an RBI single in the 10th. This was his fourth multi-hit effort over the last nine games, a span in which he's gone 11-for-32 (.344) with four homers and 10 RBI. He's up to a .223/.310/.457 slash line, 11 long balls, 28 RBI, 25 runs scored and two stolen bases through 51 contests. Gorman has been a near-everyday player lately, though the Cardinals called up Jose Fermin on Friday for infield depth, which could lead to Gorman sitting out against some southpaws moving forward. • Yields four unearned runs
Lynn gave up four runs, all unearned, on three hits and two walks while striking out four over four-plus innings in a no-decision versus the Phillies on Sunday.

Advice: An error by the usually sure-handed Masyn Winn in the second inning ultimately allowed two runs to score. In the fifth, Lynn and catcher Ivan Herrera each committed an error as well, allowing the Phillies to generate another two runs. Since the Cardinals' defense let him down, Lynn will avoid any damage on his ERA, which is now at 3.23 on the year after this short outing. He's allowed at least four runs in four of his last six starts, which is the more concerning issue at hand. Lynn also has a poor 1.34 WHIP and 57:25 K:BB through 61.1 innings. The veteran right-hander is projected to make his next start at home versus the Rockies. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:11 pm

    • Nolan Gorman homers, plates three to lead Cards
Nolan Gorman went 2-for-4, homered and drove in three runs on Sunday night as the Cardinals triumphed over the Phillies 5-4 in 10 innings.

Advice: Gorman got the scoring started with a bang, crushing a 367-foot (108.6 mph EV) two-out, two-run shot off of Phillies’ right-hander Taijuan Walker in the opening frame. He then smacked a two-out go-ahead RBI single off of Gregory Soto to give the Cardinals the lead in the 10th inning. Gorman also walked and struck out twice in the ballgame, finishing the evening 1-for-4. On the season, he’s now slashing .223/.310/.457 with 11 long balls and 28 RBI. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:16 pm

    • Collects three hits in loss
Bellinger went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Reds.

Advice: Bellinger played well but the rest of Chicago's lineup could only muster five hits overall, which limited his ability to collect counting stats. The 28-year-old is batting .318 over his last 10 games with a home run, four runs scored and five RBI. If Bellinger gets more support from his teammates, he could really take off across the board, though he should have plenty of fantasy value either way given his ability to hit the ball over the fall and swipe a base on occasion. • Lance Lynn gives up four runs in no-decision
Lance Lynn wasn’t at his best in Sunday night’s no-decision against the Phillies, surrendering four runs on three hits over his four-plus frames.

Advice: The right-hander struck out four batters on the night while issuing a pair of free passes. The Phillies scratched out a pair of runs against him in the second inning on an RBI double by Garrett Stubbs and a ground ball by Johan Rojas. Lynn then allowed a two-run single to Stott in the fifth inning before turning the ball over to the bullpen. Lynn got nine swings and misses on 78 pitches on the night, registering a CSW of 23 percent. He’ll carry a 3.23 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and a 57/25 K/BB ratio (61 1/3 innings) into Friday’s matchup against the Rockies. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:16 pm

    • Austin Gomber lasts three innings in loss Sunday
Austin Gomber lasted just three innings in Sunday afternoon’s loss to the Dodgers, surrendering three runs on five hits and three walks.

Advice: The 30-year-old hurler punched out two batters in the ballgame. Most of the damage done against him came via the long ball, with Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman each blasting solo homers in the opening inning. The Dodgers added another run in the third on an RBI single by Miguel Rojas. Gomber got just six swings and misses on 79 pitches on the day, posting a CSW of 20 percent. He’ll look to bounce back as he brings a 3.06 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and a 43/20 K/BB ratio (61 2/3 innings) into Friday’s matchup against the Cardinals in St. Louis. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:12 pm
    • Griffin Canning pitches well in loss to Mariners
Griffin Canning was terrific in a losing effort against the Mariners on Sunday afternoon, allowing just one run on four hits over 6 2/3 innings of work.

Advice: The 28-year-old right-hander struck out four batters on the day and issued just one walk — to the final batter that he faced. The lone tally against him came on a 354-foot solo shot off the bat of Luke Raley in the fourth inning. Unfortunately, that was enough to hand him the loss as the Angels couldn’t scratch out a single run of support for him. It’s the first time all season that Canning has recorded an out in the seventh inning. He got 11 whiffs on 93 pitches on the day — seven on his changeup — while posting a CSW of 29 percent. He’ll attempt to further improve upon his 4.69 ERA and 1.37 WHIP when he takes on the Astros at home on Saturday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:40 pm

    • Pitches well in loss
Canning (2-5) allowed a run on four hits and a walk while striking out four over 6.2 innings to take the loss versus the Mariners on Sunday.

Advice: Canning was not the problem for the Angels on Sunday -- their offense couldn't figure out Luis Castillo. This was Canning's longest outing of the season and his third quality start in 12 appearances. He shaved down his ERA to 4.69 with a 1.37 WHIP and 45:24 K:BB over 63.1 innings. Canning is projected to make his next start at home versus the Astros. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:34 pm

    • Surrenders two early homers
Gomber (1-3) allowed three runs on five hits and three walks while striking out two over three innings, taking the loss versus the Dodgers on Sunday.

Advice: Gomber dealt with general arm soreness earlier in the week, which caused him to have a start skipped. It doesn't appear to be a lingering issue, but he struggled Sunday, allowing home runs to Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman in the first inning. Gomber ended up needing 79 pitches (46 strikes) to get through three frames. He had posted a quality start in each his last four outings before Sunday's short start. The southpaw is at a 3.06 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 43:20 K:BB over 61.2 innings across 11 starts. Gomber is projected for a road start versus the Cardinals his next time out. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:20 pm
