    • Reaches 15-homer mark
Pederson went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Friday's 4-3 win over the Pirates.

Advice: Pederson homered for the second game in a row and the fifth time over 15 contests in July. While he's hitting just .234 (11-for-47) this month, he's bolstered his on-base numbers with eight walks while also getting plunked three times. Pederson is up to a .273/.378/.510 slash line with 15 homers, 41 RBI, 36 runs scored, five stolen bases and 13 doubles over 292 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:31 pm
    • Joc Pederson homer and walks vs. Pirates
Joc Pederson homered and walked in a win over the Pirates on Friday.

Advice: Pederson’s homer was a big one for the D-Backs, as it brought Arizona to within a run at 3-2, and it traveled a whopping 453 feet. The 32-year-old also drew a walk, so in addition to picking up his 15th blast of the year, he also improved his slash to .273/.318/.510. Solid work for a player that probably doesn’t get enough attention for his success. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:36 pm
    • Yusei Kikuchi hit hard by Rangers
Yusei Kikuchi surrendered eight hits and five earned runs in 4 2/3 innings on Friday against the Rangers. He struck out five and walked two in a no-decision.

Advice: Kikuchi got crushed in this one. The Rangers laced 10 hard-hit balls and Kikuchi was fortunate to allow just one extra-base hit, a two-run homer from Adolis García just before he got the hook. Absolutely nothing worked for Kikuchi in what may have been his final start as a Blue Jay. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:08 pm
    • Another short outing
Kikuchi didn't factor into the decision Friday against the Rangers, allowing five runs on eight hits and two walks over 4.2 innings. He struck out five.

Advice: It's been a struggle for Kikuchi of late -- the left-hander has now gone eight starts without a win, posting a 7.79 ERA in that span while failing to make it through six innings in seven of those outings. Overall, Kikuchi is 4-9 with a 4.75 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 130:30 K:BB across 115.2 innings. Despite his recent troubles, Kikuchi could very well be on the move prior to next week's trade deadline, with multiple contenders looking to reinforce their rotations. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:59 pm
    • Picks up 16th steal
Gimenez went 2-for-4 with a stolen base in Friday's 3-1 win over the Phillies.

Advice: Gimenez had a solid night picking up two much-needed hits, the same amount he had in his previous six games. The 25-year-old has 27 multi-hit games this season but just two over his last 16 appearances. Gimenez has also struggled as a runner of late, with just two stolen bases in his last 26 games. The second baseman is hitting .248 with a .632 OPS through 96 games this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:47 pm

    • Idle Friday
Gorman is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Nationals, Lynn Worthy of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Advice: Gorman will avoid a matchup with southpaw MacKenzie Gore on Friday. Brendan Donovan will fill Gorman's spot at second base. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:57 pm

    • Another long ball in win
Lindor went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Thursday's extra-inning win over Atlanta.

Advice: Lindor jumped on the first pitch he saw from Chris Sale in his second at-bat and crushed it into the stands in center field for a two-run shot, giving the Mets a 2-1 lead. It marked the shortstop's fifth homer in his last four games and his ninth homer in July. He's also hit safely in 10 straight contests, batting .385 (14-for-39) over that stretch with seven extra-base hits, 14 RBI and seven runs scored. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:58 am

    • Report: Pirates looking at Chisholm, De La Cruz
The Pirates are scouting Marlins outfielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. and Bryan De La Cruz, according to The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal.

Advice: Chisholm will be more expensive and rightfully so, but it’s worth wondering if another team might be able to get more from De La Cruz than the Marlins have managed to date. Chisholm does make more sense for the Pirates, since he’s a center fielder and De La Cruz definitely isn’t. Rotoworld Thursday, 8:03 pm

    • Francisco Lindor homers again, Mets edge Braves
Francisco Lindor clobbered a two-run homer on Thursday in the Mets’ extra-inning victory over the Braves.

Advice: Lindor crushed a no-doubter to left-center field off Braves ace Chris Sale to put the Mets ahead in the third inning. It was his fifth round-tripper over his last four games. He leads the senior circuit with a staggering 34 extra-base hits since being moved to the leadoff spot back on May 18. The 30-year-old fantasy superstar is batting a sizzling .309 (38-for-123) with 10 homers, 25 RBI and nine steals over his last 30 games. Rotoworld Thursday, 6:56 pm
