    • Completes third bullpen session
Senzatela (elbow) tossed a 20-pitch bullpen session Tuesday, MLB.com reports.

Advice: The Rockies are bringing Senzatela along slowly as he works his way back from July 2023 Tommy John surgery, but he already has three bullpen sessions under his belt since being cleared for mound work earlier this month. Senzatela said that he won't be cleared to face hitters until he builds up to around 30-to-40 pitches in his side sessions. He thus looks to be at least a couple weeks away from pitching in live batting practice at the Rockies' facility in Arizona. Rotowire.com 39 minutes ago

    • Chris Flexen pitches well, but bullpen blows lead
Chris Flexen held the Astros to just one run over six innings, but didn’t factor in the decision Thursday.

Advice: Flexen pitched well, the White Sox bullpen did not. He scattered five hits while striking out six against three walks. The 29-year-old left the game with a 3-1 lead, but Chicago’s beleaguered relievers gave up the lead quickly after. Flexen gets the Dodgers next week. No thank you. Rotoworld 58 minutes ago

    • Twins designate Jay Jackson for assignment
Twins designated RHP Jay Jackson for assignment.

Advice: Jackson was tagged for three runs courtesy of a pair of homers during Thursday’s eventual loss to the Rays and has been removed from Minnesota’s 40-man roster, according to manager Rocco Baldelli after the contest. No word on the corresponding move yet. The 36-year-old journeyman reliever struggled to a bloated 7.52 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 29/22 K/BB ratio across 26 1/3 innings (20 appearances) this season for Minnesota. Rotoworld Today, 1:58 pm

    • Designated for assignment
The Twins designated Jackson for assignment Thursday, Bobby Nightengale of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Advice: The move comes shortly after Jackson allowed three runs in an inning of work in Thursday's loss to the Rays. Jackson cleared waivers and accepted an outright assignment by the Twins last month, so he might wind up sticking around in the organization again. The club will announce a corresponding move prior to Friday's game in Oakland. Rotowire.com Today, 1:58 pm

    • Cardinals call up Adam Kloffenstein on Thursday
Cardinals recalled RHP Adam Kloffenstein from Triple-A Memphis.

Advice: Kloffenstein provides St. Louis with some extra long relief depth behind Thursday’s starter Andre Pallante. The 23-year-old righty earns his first promotion to the majors after compiling a respectable 3.97 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 68/29 K/BB ratio over 77 innings (14 starts) this season for Triple-A Memphis. • Cardinals option Chris Roycroft to Triple-A
Cardinals optioned RHP Chris Roycroft to Triple-A Memphis.

Advice: Roycroft has shuttled back-and-forth between the Cardinals’ bullpen and Triple-A Memphis over the last few months and will likely continue to do so for the rest of the year. The 26-year-old righty has pitched to a solid 3.07 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 13/8 K/BB ratio across 14 2/3 innings (12 appearances) this season in the big leagues. Rotoworld Today, 1:32 pm

    • Yankees option Anthony Misiewicz to Triple-A
Yankees optioned LHP Anthony Misiewicz to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Advice: Misiewicz was with the Yankees for a couple days earlier this week as emergency relief depth, but he’ll head back to the minors with veteran southpaw Tim Hill joining New York’s relief mix. Rotoworld Today, 1:29 pm
    • Set for another rehab start
Gray (elbow) will make another rehab start for Triple-A Rochester next week, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: Gray was able to build up to 79 pitches over five innings during his latest rehab outing Wednesday, and the goal will be for him to get up to six innings or roughly 90 pitches. It's likely he makes his next minor-league start Tuesday, which could put him in line to return to Washington's rotation June 30 against the Rays. Rotowire.com Today, 1:05 pm

    • Outrighted to Triple-A
The Rangers outrighted Tinoco to Triple-A Round Rock on Thursday.

Advice: Tinoco has the option to decline the assignment and become a free agent if he wants. If he does choose to stick around, he'll provide relief depth at Round Rock. Rotowire.com Today, 11:59 am
