  • Imanaga allows one run as Cubs down White Sox
    Shota Imanaga allowed one earned run in 4 1/3 innings while striking out six in Tuesday’s win over the White Sox.

    Advice: Imanaga, who didn’t earn a decision in this one, allowed just two base runners through his first three innings but ran into trouble in the fourth after back-to-back singles by Andrew Vaughn and Luis Robert Jr. kickstarted what turned into a five-run inning for the White Sox. Imanaga was charged with just one earned run on the night, but the White Sox did their part to get to him early. A double by Korey Lee would put the White Sox up 3-0, but Lenyn Sosa’s two-run homer just a few batters later quickly pushed that lead to 5-0.   • Ozzie Albies homers in win over Red Sox
    Ozzie Albies went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in a win over the Red Sox on Tuesday.

    Advice: Albies hit a 401-foot shot that left the bat at 104.4 mph for his fourth home run of the season. The second baseman has just 29 RBI on the season to go along with a .275/.339/.410 slash line. He’s one of a surprising list of Braves players who haven’t been hitting at their usual level so far this season. There’s not much you can do in fantasy leagues; Albies is a talented player in a good lineup who should get it going over the summer.     Advice: Albies went yard for the first time in 22 games, plating Austin Riley and Marcel Ozuna in the sixth inning on a three-run shot off Kutter Crawford. He's been swinging a hot bat as of late, batting .324 with five doubles, six RBi and five runs scored in his last 10 games. After slugging a career-high 33 homers last season, Albies has just four round-trippers in 50 games in 2024 and his slugging percentage has dropped from .513 to .410.     Initial X-rays on Murphy's right elbow came back negative after he was hit by a pitch during Tuesday's win over the Red Sox, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

    Advice: Murphy's elbow swelled up significantly immediately following the HBP, though he appears to have escaped the incident without suffering any structural damage. The catcher also said after Tuesday's game that he is confident he'll be able to avoid the injured list and get back to playing within a few days.     Advice: Murphy took a 92-mph fastball off the inner part of his right elbow, which had already exhibited significant swelling by the time he reached first base. Atlanta will take him into the clubhouse for a closer look and should have more information on his status in the near future, but it's possible the 29-year-old backstop sits out until the swelling goes down.
