• Jurickson Profar homers, knocks in three runs
Jurickson Profar had a two-run homer and an RBI single to drive in three of the Padres’ four runs Tuesday against the Marlins.

Advice: We’re still not sure what’s gotten into Profar, but he’s hitting the ball harder than ever and he’s currently boasting a .354 BABIP that’s nearly 90 points better than his career mark. He has to fade some from here, but this is the best he’s ever looked at the plate. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:13 pm
  • Goes yard again Monday
Duvall went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Monday's loss to the Nationals.

Advice: He took a tiring Mitchell Parker deep in the seventh inning, giving Duvall his second homer in as many days and his fifth of the year. The veteran outfielder will move out of his short-side platoon role and take over as Atlanta's everyday right fielder due to Ronald Acuna (knee) being lost for the season, but if Duvall's .209/.303/.407 slash line doesn't improve, the team might give J.P. Martinez a look instead. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:54 am

  • Duvall blasts fifth home run Monday
Adam Duvall went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run against the Nationals on Monday.

Advice: The home run was Duvall’s fifth of the season. He was in right field for the Braves in their first game since Ronald Acuna Jr. went down with a season-ending injury. With Austin Riley and Sean Murphy back in the lineup, Duvall hit sixth. This wouldn’t be the first time Duvall has seen increased playing time in Acuna’s stead. He’s hitting just .209 with a .710 OPS on the season so far.

  • Adam Duvall gets start in RF after Acuna injury
Braves are giving Adam Duvall the first start in right field after the Ronald Acuna Jr. injury.

Advice: Duvall is starting in right field and batting sixth while Jarred Kelenic starts in left field and hits ninth. While it’s Duvall who is starting in right field, it’s noteworthy that Kelenic is in the lineup against a left-handed starter. It seems as though Kelenic could be emerging as a potential full-time player with Acuna Jr. out. Rotoworld Monday, 10:22 am

  • Set for increased playing time
Duvall went 1-for-5 with a solo home run Sunday against the Pirates.

Advice: Duvall blasted an eighth-inning 1-0 offering by Pirates reliever Aroldis Chapman over the wall in left-center for his fourth home run of the season. Duvall, who earned the start with lefty Martin Perez starting the game on the hill, is set to earn additional playing time in the near future, as Ronald Acuna left the game with a knee injury and is slated for a stint on the IL. • Homers again Saturday
Steer went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: He touched up Walker Buehler in the first inning to give the Reds an early lead. As Mark Sheldon of MLB.com notes, Steer has now gone deep in back-to-back games after entering the series without a homer since May 1 (17 games). His struggles from the middle of the order this month have led the Reds to the cellar in the NL Central, though it's certainly not all his fault. Steer sits with a .227/.341/.403 line with six homers, 35 RBI, 25 runs scored and 11 steals through 50 games this season. Rotowire.com Sunday, 1:50 am

  • Spencer Steer homers again as Reds top Dodgers
Spencer Steer homered for the second consecutive game on Saturday, helping to power the Reds to a 3-1 victory over the visiting Dodgers.

Advice: Steer got the scoring started in the opening inning on Saturday, crushing a 362-foot (94.9 mph EV) solo shot off of Walker Buehler. That would wind up being his only hit in four at-bats on the night. On the season, the versatile 26-year-old is slashing .227/.341/.403 with six long balls and 35 RBI. Rotoworld Saturday, 6:57 pm

  • Knocks fifth home run
Steer went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer, a walk and two runs scored in Friday's win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Steer got the Reds' offense started with a three-run blast in the first inning. He snapped a 17-game homerless drought, during which he'd posted an unsightly .527 OPS. Despite a terrific start to 2024 (1.264 OPS through 11 games), Steer now owns a .227/.343/.390 slash line with 17 extra-base hits through 204 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Friday, 8:06 pm

  • On bench Friday
Hernandez is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Reds.

Advice: Hernandez will take a seat after making six consecutive appearances. Miguel Rojas will man third base and bat ninth. Rotowire.com Friday, 1:12 pm
