    • Mitchell Parker allows three runs in loss to White Sox
      Mitchell Parker was charged with three runs over five innings on Tuesday in a loss to the White Sox.

      Advice: Parker was fortunate that the damage was only three runs as he left with the bases loaded in the sixth inning and was bailed out by teammate Jordan Weems.       Soler (shoulder/head) didn't suffer any significant injuries after getting hit in the head while hitting on the field Tuesday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

      Advice: Soler took swings on the field before Tuesday's game against the Dodgers as the next step in rehabbing his strained right shoulder, but he was removed by a trainer after a foul ball hit off the top of the cage and struck him in the head. However, it appears the outfielder managed to escape the incident with minimal damage.       The Giants placed Bailey on the 7-day concussion IL on Tuesday, retroactive to Sunday.

      Advice: Bailey missed the Giants' last two games due to an illness, and he met with a team doctor Monday to determine whether or not his illness was related to the concussion he suffered earlier in May. He will now return to the concussion IL and will be eligible to return to action Sunday, though the Giants will likely be more cautious this time around before inserting him back into their lineup. Blake Sabol will take over as San Francisco's primary catcher while Bailey is out, and Marco Luciano will come up from Triple-A Sacramento to fill the open roster spot. It's unclear how severe the damage is, but the 32-year-old was at least shaken up enough for him to be shut down for the day.       Advice: Butto was sharp for most of the day, though he hit a rough patch in the third inning -- the right-hander loaded the bases with two outs before hitting Alec Bohm with a pitch and walking Brandon Marsh. The two runs proved to be more than enough to stick Butto with the loss, as the Mets couldn't get anything going against Aaron Nola in a 4-0 shutout defeat. The 26-year-old Butto's allowed just six runs in his last three starts (16 innings), though he's gone 1-2 in that span. Overall, his ERA sits at a solid 3.08 through his first 38 innings this year with a 1.13 WHIP and 38:21 K:BB. Butto's currently in line for a road start early next week against the Guardians.
