    • Jakob Junis set to join Brewers over weekend
Jakob Junis (shoulder, head) will join the Brewers in San Diego for their weekend series against the Padres.

Advice: It has yet to be determined whether Junis will work as a starter or as a reliever, but he’s finally ready to rejoin the team after missing more than two months with a right shoulder impingement and a head injury that he suffered when he was struck by a batted ball during batting practice. Junis has made one start for the Brewers this season, posting a 2.25 ERA and 1.00 WHIP while striking out four batters over his four innings of work. Rotoworld 9 minutes ago
    • Abraham Toro (shoulder) not in lineup Wednesday
Abraham Toro (shoulder) is not in the Athletics’ starting lineup on Wednesday.

Advice: Toro has apparently been battling a sore shoulder since Sunday’s doubleheader. The Athletics are hopeful that he’ll be able to avoid a stint on the injured list, but if this goes on for another couple of days they may need to change their stance. Tyler Nevin will start in his place at the hot corner and will bat fifth for the A’s against Cole Ragans and the Royals on Wednesday evening. Rotoworld 48 minutes ago

    • Tanner Bibee strikes out career-high 12 in win
Tanner Bibee struck out 12 batters in six shutout innings on Wednesday in an 8-0 win over the Mariners. He scattered three hits and walked just one.

Advice: This was Bibee’s second straight start where he struck out double digit batters - the first two times of his career. His slider and curveball were both lethal while his fastball velocity stayed above 95 MPH and induced five swings and misses. His fastball has been hit hard this season with opposing hitters slugging .581 against it and its -14 Run Value is the lowest for any pitch single pitch in the league. Seeing it this effective is a great sign for Bibee as he looks to stay hot. Rotoworld 51 minutes ago
    • Josh Naylor smacks two home runs against Mariners
Josh Naylor went 3-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI on Wednesday.

Advice: Naylor took over this game offensively with a run-scoring single in the first, thunderous home run to break it open in the fifth, and then a solo-shot in the seventh for good measure. He’d been batting under .200 since the start of May after a strong April and knowing how streaky of a hitter Naylor can be, this might be the start of his next hot streak. Rotoworld 53 minutes ago
    • Steven Kwan with two more hits, goes yard
Steven Kwan went 2-for-3 with a home run, walk, and two runs scored on Wednesday against the Mariners.

Advice: Kwan continues what’s been an all-time start to the season. His batting average ticked back up to an unthinkable .397 and the homer was his fifth of the season. For the “batting average doesn’t matter” folks, Kwan’s OPS sits at 1.010 through nearly 45 games. Few in the league are hitting better than him right now. Rotoworld 53 minutes ago
    • Bryan Woo yanked after four innings
Bryan Woo allowed three earned runs in four innings on Wednesday against the Guardians. He struck out one, walked one in a loss.

Advice: This was Woo’s first start in 13 days after yet another health scare and he was not sharp. It took him 30 pitches to get through the first inning and he had trouble settling in. He retired the final seven batters he faced after Steven Kwan took him deep in the second inning, but without missing many bats. He forced just five whiffs and Guardians’ hitters fouled off 22 of the 64 pitches Woo threw in this forgettable start. Rotoworld 54 minutes ago
    • Bypassed in save opportunity
Neris was not used to close out Wednesday's 6-5 win over the Giants, with Colten Brewer getting the save instead.

Advice: Neris took the loss and blew a save against the Giants on Monday, allowing three runs (two earned) in an inning of work, and he's allowed a total of seven earned runs over his last three outings. The veteran's ERA has climbed to 4.73 as a result of his recent struggles, and he's blown four saves this year in 14 chances. Chicago manager Craig Counsell said following Monday's game that he didn't plan on making a change at closer, according to James Neveau of Yahoo Sports, but this situation could be fluid. Brewer is at least worth keeping an eye on in the short term. Rotowire.com Today, 5:39 pm
    • Records first save
Brewer worked around two walks to pitch a scoreless ninth inning and earn the save in Wednesday's 6-5 win over the Giants.

Advice: Brewer just returned from the injured list last week and he's possibly already moved up the bullpen hierarchy. Regular closer Hector Neris has allowed seven earned runs over his last three appearances with two blown saves, including in Monday's contest. The veteran Neris may have simply been getting some rest, and there's been no official word that the team is making a change, but this is a situation worth monitoring. Brewer would of course see a jump in fantasy value if he starts getting regular save opportunities. Rotowire.com Today, 5:30 pm
    • Goes deep in win
Happ went 2-for-4 with a double and a solo home run in Wednesday's 6-5 win over the Giants.

Advice: Happ has been on a heater recently, as he now has five straight two-hit performances. The outfielder has gone deep three times during the hot streak, giving him nine home runs for the season. Happ won't be able to stay this locked in forever, though fantasy managers should enjoy the production while it lasts. Rotowire.com Today, 5:24 pm
