    • Reaches three times in loss
Busch went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double and a run scored in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Reds.

Advice: Busch came into the contest in a bit of a slump, as he was just 1-for-10 over his previous six games. Overall, he's slowed down some after a strong start to the season, though he still has a solid .783 OPS and provides decent pop against righties. While Busch continues to generally sit against lefties, he has at least batted .304 (7-for-23) against them when given the opportunity. Rotowire.com 25 minutes ago
    • Starts at third base
Duran started at third base and went 2-for-3 an RBI in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Giants.

Advice: Duran entered the lineup with Corey Seager (hamstring) on the bench. Josh Smith, the primary fill-in for Josh Jung (wrist) at third base, moved to shortstop, paving the way for Duran to make his eighth start of the season at the hot corner. He's hit safely in four consecutive games and 11 of the last 13. Seager's injury is not considered serious, but he could need a couple more days, per Kennedi Landry of MLB.com. • Playing over McCormick
Cabbage went 1-for-4 with a run scored Friday against the Angels.

Advice: Cabbage started his second straight game in right field in the absence of Kyle Tucker (shin), notably appearing in the lineup over both Mauricio Dubon and Chas McCormick. Cabbage struggles to make consistent contact, but he has showcased a strong power-speed profile in the majors that could be intriguing if he continues to get consistent run. • Big impact in second start
Toglia went 2-for-4 with a triple, three RBI and a run scored Friday against the Cardinals.

Advice: Toglia drew his second straight start in right field over Hunter Goodman since being recalled from the majors Thursday. He drove in one in his first appearance since the promotion and had another productive game Friday when he cleared the bases with a three-RBI triple in the fourth inning. Toglia came around to score on the same play but was not credited with an RBI due to an error by the Cardinals. The Rockies have rotated their outfield regularly this season, but Toglia appears to be the preferred option in right field for the time being. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:26 pm
    • José Abreu homers against Angels in victory
José Abreu hit his second homer Friday off the Angels’ Roansy Contreras.

Advice: Abreu is definitely swinging the bat better now than he was before he was sent to the minors, but that bar is so low it might as well be underground. Both of his homers have come since his return, a period that’s seen him go 5-for-27 with an 8/1 K/BB. We’re still pretty skeptical that he belongs in the majors at this point. • Smacks second homer
Abreu went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 7-1 win over the Angels.

Advice: Abreu has gone a modest 3-for-17 over six games in June, but two of those hits have been homers. The first baseman has made limited progress at the plate since he was recalled from Triple-A Sugar Land, but he's seeing steady playing time anyway. He's slashing .122/.171/.194 with two homers, six RBI and eight runs scored over 105 plate appearances in 2024. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:54 pm
    • Keeps slugging Friday
Diaz went 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in Friday's 7-1 win over the Angels.

Advice: Diaz opened the scoring with an RBI single in the first inning and added a two-run homer in the seventh. He's gone yard in four straight contests, an impressive run of power after he went 39 games without a homer prior to this surge. The catcher is at a .258/.285/.416 slash line, seven long balls, 32 RBI, 22 runs scored and 10 doubles over 56 contests. With Kyle Tucker (lower leg) going on the injured list Friday, Yordan Alvarez has seen more time in the field, giving the Astros the option of moving Diaz to designated hitter rather than having him at catcher full-time in the short term. • Wilmer Flores homers twice off righty in victory
Wilmer Flores homered twice off Michael Lorenzen in the win over the Giants on Friday.

Advice: Flores likely only started tonight because of his grand slam off a lefty Thursday, and he wound up hitting his first two homers off a right-hander this season; he came into the game batting ,217./.309/.353 in 97 PA versus righties. The sudden hot streak will probably turn him into a lineup fixture for a spell, but he still only seems like an option in deeper formats. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:38 pm
    • Pops homer, scores three times
Sheets went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, three runs scored and two walks in Friday's win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Sheets walked and scored in the fourth and eighth innings Friday, sandwiched around his solo shot in the sixth. He was recently stuck in a 33-game skid without a home run but he's gone deep three times over his last 10 games. He bumped his season slash line up to .235/.341/.417 with 21 extra-base hits and 19 runs scored through 220 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:57 pm
