    Bo Bichette was ejected from Saturday’s ballgame against the Nationals after spiking his helmet in frustration to a questionable called-third strike.

    Advice: The slumping 26-year-old shortstop appeared to take exception to a pitch that grazed the outside corner against him, and he took out some frustration on his helmet.     Wiemer was diagnosed with a strained popliteus muscle in his left knee Saturday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

    Luis Arraez will serve as the designated hitter and bat leadoff in his Padres’ debut against the Diamondbacks on Saturday night.

    Advice: The sweet-swinging 27-year-old was hitting .299/.347/.372 with zero homers and five RBI through 148 plate appearances with the Marlins. He’ll now serve as the catalyst for a Padres’ offense that could use a boost at the top of the order.     Advice: Pauley will be squeezed off the major-league roster following the acquisition of Luis Arraez from Miami. Pauley has been fantastic in the minors but struggled to get going upon joining the Padres, slashing .125/.125/313 across 32 plate appearances. The 23-year-old infielder may still return to the big leagues later this season as a bench piece, but San Diego's loaded infield unit will make it hard for him to contribute on a regular basis.     Advice: Hoerner put the Cubs on the board right away, taking Tobias Myers deep for a solo homer to lead off the first inning, his first homer of the season. He added a base hit to lead off the seventh, then stole second for his fifth steal of the season. The 26-year-old second baseman is heating up at the plate, with multiple hits in three of his last four games.   • Christopher Morel continues power surge vs. Brewers
    Christopher Morel went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk on Saturday against the Brewers.

    Advice: After drawing a walk in the first inning, Morel took Tobias Myers deep for a two-run homer in the third to extend the Cubs lead. Morel can certainly hit homers in bunches, as he’s now gone yard in three straight games and four of his last six. The 24-year-old third baseman is slashing .213/.292/.426 with seven homers, 20 runs scored, 20 RBI, and three steals across 137 plate appearances. Despite the low batting average, Morel has significantly cut down his strikeout rate so far this season, a good sign that we can see his numbers improve as we get into the summer.
