• Picks up steal in loss
Blanco went 0-for-2 with a walk, a stolen base and one run scored in Saturday's 7-3 loss to the Padres.

Advice: Blanco briefly looked to be claiming a larger role in mid-May, but he's since returned to his usual status as a fourth outfielder. His steal Saturday was his first since May 13, giving him 12 thefts on the year. He's added a decent .255/.323/.364 slash line with one home run, four RBI, 15 runs scored and three doubles over 63 plate appearances. Blanco's last two starts have come against right-handed pitchers, but it appears that's more to give Kyle Isbel regular rest than it is a sign of Blanco earning a larger role. • Homers in loss
Vientos went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored in a 10-5 loss to the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

Advice: Vientos hit a solo homer off Slade Cecconi in the fifth inning then singled and scored a run in the ninth. After posting three hits on Friday, Vientos followed it up with another multi-hit effort that included his third home run in his past eight games. With Brett Baty being optioned to Triple-A Syracuse, it appears Vientos will have a chance to stake his claim at third base for the Mets. On the season, Vientos now has 10 home runs and 39 RBI in 190 plate appearances between Triple-A and the majors. Rotowire.com Today, 8:29 pm

  • Two steals in win
McCarthy went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs scored in a 10-5 win over the Mets on Saturday.

Advice: McCarthy singled, stole two bases then scored on a Christian Walker grand slam in the third inning and later singled and scored in the eighth. McCarthy was a late addition to the lineup when Lourdes Gurriel (undisclosed) was scratched and made the most of a rare opportunity to face a left-handed starter despite now hitting 11-for-25 against lefties on the season. Since May 21, McCarthy has started only six of a possible 10 games but tallied four steals during that stretch. Rotowire.com Today, 8:25 pm
  • Crawford hits grand slam in win Saturday
J.P. Crawford went 1-for-4 with a grand slam against the Angels on Saturday.

Advice: Crawford took Reid Detmers deep with the bases loaded in the fourth inning to put the Mariners up 5-0. The home run was his fourth of the season and second since coming off the injured list on May 20th. Seattle isn’t the best lineup, but Crawford regularly bats leadoff and has shown some pop recently. • Winn records RBI in loss Saturday
Masyn Winn went 0-for-3 with an RBI against the Phillies on Saturday.

Advice: It was a quiet night for the Cardinals as they could only muster one run. Winn’s hitless night ended a streak of 18 consecutive starts where he’d recorded a hit. While Brendan Donovan was out of the lineup, it’s notable that Winn moved up to the leadoff spot against Phillies left-handed starter Ranger Suarez. Rotoworld Today, 7:20 pm

  • Two hits, two RBI in win
Langford went 2-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored in a 7-0 win against the Marlins on Saturday.

Advice: Langford singled and scored a run in the fourth inning then added a two-run base hit in the ninth. In four games since returning from the injured list with a hamstring strain, Langford has posted two multi-hit efforts and totaled four RBI. Langford's current slash line of .229/.292/.290 has obviously been disappointing, but he appears healthy and has started each game since his return from the injured list on May 28. • Throws 6.1 shutout innings in win
Lorenzen (3-3) earned the win against the Marlins on Saturday, allowing five hits and two walks with seven strikeouts over 6.1 shutout innings.

Advice: After allowing the first two hitters he faced to reach base, Lorenzen settled in and held the Marlins in check for his fourth straight quality start. Lorenzen has gone at least six innings in eight of his nine starts this season and now owns a 2.96 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 44:26 K:BB through 54.2 innings. Lorenzen offers eligibility at starting pitcher and relief pitcher and will look to stay hot in a home matchup against the Giants next weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 6:48 pm

  • Vaughn Grissom (hamstring) likely heading to IL
Red Sox manager Alex Cora acknowledged after Saturday’s victory over the Tigers that Vaughn Grissom (hamstring) is likely heading to the injured list.

Advice: Just how long he’ll remain there is still up in the air though. The 23-year-old infielder suffered a right hamstring strain during the second inning of Saturday’s contest — the severity of which is not yet known. Expect Enmanuel Valdez to see increased action in the Red Sox’ infield while Grissom is shelved. Rotoworld Today, 5:51 pm

  • White Sox expected to promote Oscar Colas Sunday
Francys Romero reports that the White Sox plan to recall Oscar Colas from Triple-A Charlotte on Sunday.

Advice: With Luis Robert Jr. nearing a return, the timing doesn’t seem optimal for the 25-year-old outfielder to get a real shot at playing time with the White Sox, so we’ll see how this one goes. Colas has hit .244/.358/.406 with five homers, 21 RBI and six stolen bases in 193 plate appearances at Triple-A Charlotte this season. Rotoworld Today, 5:43 pm
