    Advice: Malloy's second-career homer came with two outs in the sixth and broke a 1-1 tie while his seventh-inning double drove in two and provided the Tigers with their winning margin. The 24-year-old rookie, who was also hit by a pitch in his first at-bat, entered the game with just three hits in his first 20 big-league at-bats but has now reached base 11 times in 29 plate appearances since seeing his first action on June 3, with a couple of singles, two homers, a double, five walks and a hit-by-pitch.     Aaron Judge struck out all four times up versus the Royals on Thursday to snap a 37-game on-base streak.

    Advice: It was all quiet from the Yankees before the game, but we wonder if something is up with Judge, who was put at DH today even though he just had Monday off and it meant sitting Giancarlo Stanton after he’d homered the previous two days. However, those were the only three runs the O's would score. The blast was the first since 2022 for Stowers, who has collected a homer and four doubles among 10 hits in 34 at-bats this season.     Pham (ankle) will be activated from the 10-day injured list prior to Friday's game in Arizona, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

    Advice: Pham played in three rehab games with the Arizona Complex League White Sox this week, going 3-for-11 with a home run. He's been out for most of this month with a sprained left ankle. Pham had been seeing most of his starts in center field for the White Sox prior to getting hurt, but with Luis Robert now back in tow, Pham should shift over to right field.     Jacob Young finished 0-for-3 against the Tigers on Thursday and is 2-for-23 in his last seven games.

    Advice: Young did have two hard-hit balls today, which is notable considering that his 25% hard-hit rate is among the lowest in the majors.     Jimenez (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment with the Arizona Complex League White Sox on Thursday, LaMond Pope of the Chicago Tribune reports.

    Advice: Jimenez has been on the shelf for just over three weeks with a left hamstring strain and is now ready to test things out in game action.
