      Witt went 3-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 11-8 loss to the Padres.

      Advice: Witt had multiple hits in five of his last six games in May, adding seven RBI despite just two extra-base hits in that span. The shortstop hit .315 through the end of April and exactly matched that mark in May, showing excellent consistency.       Advice: Holliday is one of the few top fantasy prospects still healthy in the upper minors at the moment and he’s clearly benefitting from the extra seasoning in the upper minors following his early-season demotion, batting .263 with four homers and three steals in 30 games since April 27.     • Jackson Merrill returns to lineup after day off
      Jackson Merrill is back in center field Wednesday after getting the day off against a lefty on Tuesday.

      Advice: The Padres are again facing a lefty, but Merrill has been starting against most of them, even though he’s hitting just .233/.261/.233 in 46 plate appearances against them.       Advice: Witt took reliever Shawn Armstrong deep in the sixth inning to open the scoring. The homer was Witt's fourth over his last five games, and he's gone 14-for-38 (.368) during his nine-game hitting streak. The shortstop continues to cruises with a stellar .307/.366/.561 slash line while adding nine homers, 36 RBI, a major-league-leading 48 runs scored, 16 stolen bases, 15 doubles and six triples over 54 contests this season.       Bobby Witt Jr. went 2-for-5 with a home run on Sunday against the Rays.

      Advice: Both of Witt’s hits in this one had at least a 110 MPH exit velocity as he continued to hit the ball with imposing authority. Few hitters in baseball are swinging it better than Witt who has four home runs and 13 RBI in his last seven games.
