• Dealt to Halos
The Angels acquired Guillorme from Atlanta on Thursday in exchange for cash considerations or a player to be named later, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Advice: After joining Atlanta on a one-year, $1.1 million deal in January, Guillorme had received limited usage through the first month and a half of the season, logging just 21 plate appearances while seeing action in 10 of the team's 34 games. The infielder should be in store for more playing time with the Angels, who currently have three infielders on the injured list (Anthony Rendon, Miguel Sano and Michael Stefanic) and another two who are day-to-day (Brandon Drury and Luis Rengifo). A glove-first player with a career 93 wRC+ and just five home runs and four stolen bases over 345 MLB games, Guillorme won't make for an especially appealing fantasy option even if he falls into regular at-bats in Anaheim. • Angels to acquire Luis Guillorme from Braves
Daniel Álvarez-Montes of El Extrabase reports that the Angels are acquiring Luis Guillorme from the Braves.

Advice: The 29-year-old infielder signed a one-year deal with Atlanta in the offseason and only appeared in 10 games for the Braves this season slashing .150/.190/.250 with three RBI. It has not been reported what the Braves are getting in return for Guillorme, but he’ll be additional infield depth for the Angels this season. Rotoworld Today, 5:49 am

  • Mountcastle slugs two-run homer, Orioles win in 12
Ryan Mountcastle slugged a two-run homer in the 11th inning on Wednesday night, helping to propel the Orioles to a wild 7-6 victory over the Nationals in 12 innings.

Advice: With one out left to get in the ninth inning, the Orioles had a comfortable 3-1 lead, then insanity ensued. Neither team scored in the 10th inning, then Mountcastle clobbered a 386-foot (98.8 mph EV) two-run shot off of Hunter Harvey in the 11th that gave the O’s a two-run lead. The Nationals would answer in their half of the 11th. The O’s then pushed two runs across in the 12th and allowed just one to escape with a victory. Mountcastle finished the night 1-for-5 and is now hitting .277/.324/.485 with six long balls and 18 RBI on the year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:42 pm
  • Red Sox designate Zack Short for assignment
Red Sox designated INF Zack Short for assignment.

Advice: Short was just acquired from the Mets a week ago for cash considerations, but he’ll be placed on waivers for the third time this year as the Red Sox needed to free up a spot on their 40-man roster. Once again, there may be interest around the league in the glove-first infielder. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:02 pm

  • Hitting bench Wednesday
Trevino is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Astros.

Advice: Though he'll give way to Austin Wells behind the plate Wednesday, Trevino appears to be the Yankees' preferred option at catcher for the moment. Trevino started in each of the past three games, with two of those starts coming against right-handers. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:34 pm

  • Brayan Rocchio delivers game-winner in 10th
Brayan Rocchio went 2-for-4 with a game-winning hit in the bottom of the 10th as the Guardians defeated the Tigers 5-4 on Wednesday.

Advice: The Guardians just needed one in the 10th, and they got it after a sac bunt to advance the runner to third. The single accounted for Rocchio’s fifth RBI in 120 plate appearances this season. He’s batting .223/.319/.301 with middling defense, so there’s still the possibility that the Guardians will make a change at shortstop at some point. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:38 pm
  • David Fry hits game-tying homer in ninth
David Fry hit a game-tying homer off Andrew Chafin in the ninth inning Wednesday against the Tigers.

Advice: Some curious bullpen management from the Tigers today got Fry a good matchup against a lefty in the ninth and he wound up with his second homer. This was actually a rare start against a righty for Fry, but he went 0-for-3 against them. The homer off Chafin made him 10-for-24 with four extra-base hits, 10 walks and two HBPs versus lefties this season. That’s a ridiculous .595 OBP. Unfortunately, an expanded role for Fry seems even less likely now that Kyle Manzardo is up. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:37 pm

  • Removed from 40-man roster
The Red Sox designated Short for assignment Wednesday.

Advice: Short has been swapped off the 26-man active roster in favor of utility man Romy Gonzalez (wrist), who was reinstated from the 10-day injured list. He'll also lose his spot on the 40-man roster, as Short had no minor-league options remaining and will thus have to be subjected to the waiver process before potentially heading to the Red Sox's top affiliate in Worcester. Short played in just two games for the Red Sox, going 0-for-7 with four strikeouts. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:19 pm

  • Slugs homer No. 10
Tucker went 1-for-2 with a walk and a solo home run in Tuesday's 10-3 loss to the Yankees.

Advice: He took Luis Gil deep in the first inning, but things quickly went off the rails for the Astros after that. Tucker has gone yard in back-to-back games and has five long balls in his last nine contests, a surge that has him tied for second in the majors with 10 HR, one behind Shohei Ohtani. Tucker is slashing .279/.396/.566 through 35 games with five steals, 24 runs and 24 RBI. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:07 am
