    • Out again Wednesday
Urias is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Guardians.

Advice: After making three straight starts at third base, Urias will hit the bench for the second game in a row. Jorge Mateo will pick up another start in the infield while Urias takes a seat. Rotowire.com Today, 12:42 pm

    • Luke Raley scratched due to sore shoulder
Luke Raley didn’t play Wednesday due to a sore shoulder, the Mariners finally disclosed.

Advice: They could have said this when they scratched him before the game, but that’s no fun. Manager Scott Servais hopes to have Raley back Friday after the off day tomorrow. Rotoworld Today, 12:38 pm

    • Misses game with sore shoulder
Mariners manager Scott Servais said Raley was scratched from the lineup ahead of Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Rays due to a sore shoulder, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Advice: Raley had been slated to start in left field, but the Mariners dropped him from the lineup after his shoulder wouldn't fully loosen up on him in the batting cage prior to the game. The Mariners don't seem to be too concerned about the issue, as Servais said he's hopeful that Raley will be ready to go for this weekend's series versus Minnesota following Thursday's team off day, per Shannon Drayer of SeattleSports.com. • Takes swings in batting cage
Casas (ribs) took some swings in the batting cage Wednesday, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.

Advice: It was his first time hitting since he was diagnosed with a cartilage tear in his left ribcage in late April. Casas said he felt great but noted that the real test will be to see how sore he is Thursday. Previously, he had experienced lingering pain in the rib area when rotating his torso. Casas undoubtedly will require a rehab assignment before returning and it's unclear when that might occur. Rotowire.com Today, 12:36 pm

    • Triston Casas (rib) swings in cage for first time
Triston Casas, coming back from torn rib cartilage, swung in a cage without incident Wednesday.

Advice: The Red Sox haven’t talked about what Casas’s MRI showed, but the fact that he was allowed in the cage today indicates that it was good news. Casas will see how he feels tomorrow, but an early July return seems possible here. Rotoworld Today, 12:28 pm

    • Picking up fifth straight start
Solano will start at first base and bat second in Wednesday's game against the Nationals.

Advice: Solano will crack the starting nine for the fifth game in a row. The Padres are facing a left-hander (DJ Herz) for a third straight game, but San Diego could have room for both Solano and the lefty-hitting David Peralta in the regular lineup against right-handed pitching after Fernando Tatis' (quadricep) move to the injured list Monday opened up a spot. Since getting a call-up from Triple-A El Paso in early May, Solano is slashing .284/.354/.405 with three home runs and 15 RBI over 130 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 12:26 pm

    • Getting afternoon off
Arraez is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nationals.

Advice: Arraez will get a breather for the day game after a night game, hitting the bench for the first time since June 3. Jurickson Profar will move into Arraez's usual spot atop the lineup for the series finale with Washington. Rotowire.com Today, 12:21 pm

    • Guardians recall Jhonkensy Noel to make MLB debut
Guardians recalled OF Jhonkensy Noel from Triple-A Columbus.

Advice: Noel had an 1.156 OPS for Columbus this month, putting him at .295/.359/.578 with 18 homers for the season. It’s unclear how much of a role the Guardians will carve out for him versus righties, but he should definitely be the right fielder against lefties. He struggled to hit for average in previous years, and he’s a zero when it comes to steals, so he’ll need to keep showing plenty of power in order to be useful in fantasy leagues. • Summoned to big leagues
The Guardians recalled Noel from Triple-A Columbus on Wednesday. He'll start at first base and bat sixth in the Guardians' series finale in Baltimore.

Advice: Noel will hit the big leagues for the first time. The 22-year-old slashed .295/.359/.578 with 18 home runs over 65 games with Columbus this season. Much of that production has come since the start of May, with Noel producing a .343/.404/.651 line with 14 home runs in 43 contests over that stretch. Noel has also struck out at just an 18.1 percent rate since May 1, which is a positive development for a player who has often struggled to make contact during his minor-league career. While he can handle first base and the corner outfield spots in a pinch, Noel's best shot at consistent playing time in Cleveland could come at designated hitter. Rotowire.com Today, 12:05 pm
