  • Marlins send Jake Burger on rehab assignment
Marlins sent Jake Burger (oblique) on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Jacksonville.

Advice: The 28-year-old slugger was placed on the injured list a little over two weeks ago and will get some live at-bats with Jacksonville on Wednesday. Prior to hitting the injured list, Burger was slashing .228/.281/.421 with three home runs and 15 RBI in 64 plate appearances this season. If all goes well with his rehab, fantasy managers should expect Burger to be back with the Marlins in the coming days. Rotoworld Today, 11:05 am

  • Out again Wednesday
Encarnacion-Strand (hand) remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's contest versus the Padres.

Advice: He'll miss a fourth straight start due to lingering left hand soreness following a hit-by-pitch. Encarnacion-Strand has been available off the bench the last two days and presumably will be again Wednesday. He could be back in the lineup Friday against the Orioles after the Reds' off day Thursday. Rotowire.com Today, 10:56 am
  • Back on bench Wednesday
Renfroe is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Renfroe looked to be on the outs for an everyday role when he was held out of the lineup for consecutive games last Thursday and Friday, but he started in each of the past four games. However, Renfroe went just 1-for-12 with two walks in those contests, and he now finds himself back on the bench while his season-long slash line now sits at .150/.218/.263. Adam Frazier will get the nod in right field Wednesday, and manager Matt Quartaro could be inclined to lean on a timeshare between Frazier and Renfroe at that spot in the lineup until one player starts to heat up at the plate. • Expected to be fine
Cooper is expected to be fine after exiting Tuesday's game versus the Giants following a hit-by-pitch on the right wrist, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Advice: It's not clear whether Cooper required any imaging, but either way it sounds like he escaped with just a contusion. The Red Sox are reportedly closing in on a major-league contract with Dominic Smith, who could share time at first base with Cooper while Triston Casas (ribs) is out. Rotowire.com Today, 9:53 am
  • Won't opt out of MiLB deal
Choi informed the Mets on Wednesday that he won't exercise the opt-out clause in his minor-league contract, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Choi caught on with the Mets on a minor-league deal in February that contained an opt-out clause for May 1 if he wasn't promoted to the big-league roster by that time. The deadline has come and gone without Choi getting a call-up, but the 32-year-old is apparently comfortable enough with his outlook in the organization moving forward to stick around at Syracuse. Over 60 plate appearances with the Triple-A club this season, Choi has slashed .191/.333/.340 with a pair of home runs. Rotowire.com Today, 9:16 am
  • Absent from lineup
Biggio is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals.

Advice: Biggio had started each of the last five contests for the Blue Jays but will begin Wednesday's game on the bench. Toronto will turn to Davis Schneider at second base and Addison Barger in left field. Rotowire.com Today, 8:10 am

  • Getting breather Wednesday
Turner is out of the lineup for Wednesday's tilt versus the Royals.

Advice: It's a routine maintenance day for Turner, who hit two home runs in the series opener Monday before going hitless Tuesday. Daniel Vogelbach will serve as the designated hitter Wednesday and also occupy the cleanup spot. Rotowire.com Today, 8:06 am
  • Homers in loss
Candelario went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 6-4 loss to San Diego.

Advice: Candelario and Stuart Fairchild each homered in the seventh inning, closing a four-run deficit to two. It was the second consecutive game with multiple hits for Candelario, who endured an 0-for-19 slump heading into the series against the Padres. He's hitting .189/.282/.378 with three homers and nine RBI through 103 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 4:14 am
  • Walks off Dodgers
Walker went 3-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI in Tuesday's 4-3 extra-inning win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Walker bookended the Diamondbacks' scoring with a solo home run in the fourth inning then a two-run, walk-off job in the bottom of the 10th. He closed out the month on a roll, going 10-for-24 (.417) with four homers and nine RBI over the final seven games. The first baseman has a team-high seven home runs and is tied for the team lead with 22 RBI. Rotowire.com Today, 3:54 am
