  • Luke Weaver gets final five outs against Giants
    Luke Weaver threw 1 2/3 scoreless frames in a relief appearance Friday against the Giants.

    Advice: Weaver allowed just one hit with one strikeout. The right-hander has become a big part of the New York bullpen with a 2.78 ERA and sparkling 0.73 WHIP while composing a K/BB of 39/7. It’s a little surprising to see how good he’s been, but credit to the Yankees and Weaver into turning him into a legitimate high-leverage option. Rotoworld Today, 9:57 pm
  • Yields four runs in no-decision
    Fedde did not factor into the decision in Friday's 12-5 loss to Milwaukee, allowing four runs on nine hits and four walks over five innings. He struck out eight.

    Advice: Fedde's start offered a mix bag as he allowed a season-high 13 baserunners but also managed to provide eight punchouts. The 31-year-old right-hander has been a surprising source of strikeouts as he's generated 66 in 69.1 total innings. With this four-run outing, his ERA now stands at 3.12 to go along with a 1.18 WHIP.   • Gavin Lux has two hits, scores run in loss
    Gavin Lux went 2-for-3 with a run scored in a loss to the Rockies on Friday.

    Advice: Lux scored the only run of the game for the Dodgers when Mookie Betts hit into a double play. The 26-year-old second baseman has had a few fleeting moments, but it’s been hard to justify him as a fantasy option with a slash of .213/.267/.293. Rotoworld Today, 9:37 pm

    Civale didn't factor into the decision Friday against Baltimore, allowing one run on six hits and a walk over 5.1 innings. He struck out three.

    Advice: Civale was sharp Friday, blanking the Orioles for five innings before he was ultimately charged with a lone run in the sixth. The 28-year-old Civale has been pitching better of late, allowing just three runs over 10.1 innings in his last two starts after struggling to an 8.48 ERA in his previous six outings. Overall, he's 2-4 on the year with a 5.37 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 60:18 K:BB across 62 innings. Civale's currently lined up for a rematch with Baltimore at home in his next start.   • Logs steal in win
    Freeman went 2-for-4 with one RBI, one stolen base and one run scored in Friday's 7-1 win over the Nationals.

    Advice: Freeman had been leading off over the last couple of weeks, but that should be done with Steven Kwan (hamstring) returning from the injured list Friday. Freeman was second in the order Friday against southpaw Patrick Corbin, but he'll likely bat lower against right-handers moving forward. Freeman's steal was his second in five games and his eighth of the campaign. He's still at a mediocre .223/.317/.354 slash line with four home runs, 22 RBI, 32 runs scored and 11 doubles over 203 plate appearances overall, but he's hit .295 (18-for-61) over his last 16 contests.   • Collects four hits and two RBI
    Arraez went 4-for-5 with two RBI and three runs scored in Friday's victory over Kansas City.

    Advice: Arraez was ever himself, lacing four singles for his fourth four-hit night with San Diego since joining them on May 4. Overall, it is the 27-year-old's fifth four-hit game of the season as he had one in Miami too. He also managed to collect his ninth and tenth RBI as a Padre with a two-run RBI knock in the eighth inning.     Fry went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Friday's 7-1 win over the Nationals.

    Advice: The homer was Fry's fourth in his last eight games. The 28-year-old has enjoyed a memorable May, going 23-for-60 (.383) with seven homers and 18 RBI over 21 contests for the month. He's slashing .352/.485/.629 with eight homers, 27 RBI, 27 runs scored and four stolen bases over 40 games this season. Fry offers a right-handed option at multiple positions, though he's unlikely to be needed in left field as much with Steven Kwan back from a hamstring injury.     Cease did not factor into the decision in Friday's 11-8 win over the Royals, allowing three runs on five hits and one walk over 5.1 innings. He struck out five.

    Advice: Despite generating 16 whiffs out of his 98 total pitches, Cease managed to strike out only five, tying a season-low also reached on May 20 against Atlanta and April 27 against Philadelphia. The Padres ace was cruising through five innings, allowing just two baserunners; however, he unraveled in a 25-pitch sixth inning, allowing four baserunners and departing with just one out.   • Secures 17th save
    Suarez picked up the save Friday against Kansas City. He pitched one-third of an inning with no strikeouts, allowing no runs on one hit.

    Advice: Suarez entered to collect the last out in a bases-loaded jam with a five-run lead. After yielding a two-RBI single to Freddy Fermin, the San Diego closer induced a Nelson Velazquez flyout to secure the win. Suarez is now tied with Emmanuel Clase for second in the majors with 17 saves, trailing Ryan Helsley by one.
