      Advice: Sale authored arguably his strongest performance of his Braves debut so far, generating an eye-popping 21 swinging strikes, and finishing with an elite 39 percent CSW. A run-scoring single from Jorge Polanco with two outs in the fifth inning represented the lone tally against him in this one. The oft-injured 35-year-old veteran southpaw has looked rejuvenated since arriving in Atlanta, allowing three earned runs or fewer in five of six starts to open the year.       Chris Bassitt surrendered three runs in six innings Wednesday in a loss to the Royals.

Soto extended his hitting streak to eight games -- he's gone 10-for-30 with three homers and a 1.099 OPS in that span. The 25-year-old outfielder has gotten off to a stellar start in New York, slashing .325/.432/.588 with 24 RBI, 22 runs scored and two steals through his first 31 games.       Duran gave up one hit and struck out a batter during a scoreless ninth inning to pick up the save during Tuesday's 6-5 win over the White Sox.

      Advice: In his first appearance since being reinstated from the injured list, Duran picked up right where he left off last season. He allowed a leadoff single to Tommy Pham before retiring the next three batters, ending the game with a four-pitch strikeout of Andrew Vaughn. It wasn't clear heading into Tuesday's game whether or not Duran would immediately slide back into the closer role after missing the first month of the season, but it appears manager Rocco Baldelli will trust the 26-year-old righty to work the ninth inning going forward.       Carlos Estévez took his second blown save and a loss after giving up three runs and two homers in the ninth Tuesday against the Mariners.

      Advice: The good news for Estévez is that, with Robert Stephenson out for the year and José Soriano in the rotation, he has no competition at the moment. Still, his stuff is definitely down from last year, and he hasn’t shown much improvement there from the beginning of the spring.       Castellanos went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored during Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Angels.

      Advice: Castellanos kicked off a three-run ninth inning for Philadelphia, tagging Angels closer Carlos Estevez for a solo home run to knot the game up at 5-5. After starting the season batting .153 with two runs scored in his first 20 games, Castellanos has started to turn the corner, scoring nine times with a .262 batting average since.       Estevez (0-1) blew the save and took the loss Tuesday, allowing three runs on three hits with two strikeouts over two-thirds of an inning against Philadelphia.

      Advice: Each of the three hits against Estevez went for extra bases, with Nick Castellanos hitting a solo homer and Johan Rojas bringing in Bryson Stott -- who reached on a ground-rule double -- on a two-run homer to give the Phillies the lead. Estevez has now surrendered one or more runs in three of his last four appearances, a stretch that ballooned his ERA from 0.00 to 6.23 and resulted in a pair of blown saves.
