    • Shohei Ohtani gets breather on Wednesday
Shohei Ohtani is not in the Dodgers’ starting lineup for Wednesday evening’s showdown against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: It’s a rare and well-deserved day off for the superstar slugger. Will Smith will function as the Dodgers designated hitter on Wednesday while Austin Barnes does the catching against Jordan Montgomery and the D’Backs. Rotoworld 54 minutes ago

    • Receiving first day off
Ohtani is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Advice: It hasn't been reported that Ohtani is dealing with any type of injury, so he's presumably just receiving his first rest day of the season. Ohtani still has a 1.017 OPS on the campaign but has gone 5-for-26 over the past six games, and Thursday's team off day will provide a chance for two straight days to reset. Will Smith will rest his legs as the designated hitter while Austin Barnes starts behind the plate. Rotowire.com 55 minutes ago

    • Colin Rea blanks Rays for six innings in win
Colin Rea shut out the Rays for six innings for his third victory as the Brewers prevailed 7-1 on Wednesday.

Advice: Rea’s strikeout rate is just 16% and his velocity is down about one mph from last year, but he has a 2.67 ERA after six starts anyway and the Brewers are 5-1 when he pitches. We’d still typically suggest staying away in mixed leagues, but he’s probably looking at a two-start week against the Royals and Cardinals, which is sort of tempting. Rotoworld Today, 1:49 pm
    • Shuts down Tampa
Rea (3-0) earned the win Wednesday over Tampa Bay, allowing four hits and two walks while striking out five over six scoreless innings.

Advice: It was a strong bounce-back effort from Rea after he allowed five runs on three homers against the Yankees in his last outing. Overall, it's been a strong start to the year for the 33-year-old right-hander. Rea's held opponents to one run or fewer in four of his six starts, lowering his ERA to 2.67 with a 1.22 WHIP and 23:11 K:BB over 33.2 innings. Rea's currently on track for a road matchup with Kansas City in his next outing. Rotowire.com Today, 1:14 pm
    • Tyler Black batting cleanup in first MLB start
Tyler Black is batting cleanup and playing first base in his first MLB start against the Rays on Wednesday.

Advice: The Brewers’ No. 4 prospect will be thrown into an opportune spot in his first major league start. Black got his first taste of the big leagues on Tuesday when he came in as a pinch hitter and went 2-for-4 with a double and a run. The 25-year-old came to Milwaukee batting .303 with five homers and three steals at Triple-A Nashville this season and is absolutely worth stashing in all fantasy formats given his power and speed if he’s still available. • Getting breather Wednesday
Turner is out of the lineup for Wednesday's tilt versus the Royals.

Advice: It's a routine maintenance day for Turner, who hit two home runs in the series opener Monday before going hitless Tuesday. Daniel Vogelbach will serve as the designated hitter Wednesday and also occupy the cleanup spot. Rotowire.com Today, 8:06 am

    • Tallies two hits in debut
Black went 2-for-4 and scored a run during Tuesday's win over Tampa Bay.

Advice: Black was not in the Brewers' starting lineup Tuesday, but he ended up serving as the designated hitter for most of the game after Gary Sanchez (hamstring) was removed from the game in the first inning. Black doubled and singled in his first two MLB at-bats, and he was able to score his first run in the big leagues thanks to a fifth-inning Willy Adames homer. The 23-year-old infielder will likely see the field most often versus right-handed starters, though he showed he can hold his own against lefties Tuesday, as both of his hits Tuesday came off of southpaws. • Up to seven saves
McArthur picked up the save in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Blue Jays, striking out one in a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: McArthur improved to 7-for-8 in save chances this season while extending his scoreless-inning streak to 10.2. The 27-year-old right-hander lowered his ERA to 2.63 with a 1.17 WHIP and 15:2 K:BB across 12 appearances (13.2 innings) this year. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:54 pm
    • Hard-luck loss Tuesday
Berrios (4-2) took the loss Tuesday against the Royals, allowing two runs on five hits and a walk over seven innings. He struck out three.

Advice: Berrios was solid Tuesday, holding the Royals to two runs on a Michael Massey homer in the second inning en route to a sixth quality start in seven outings this year. However, the 29-year-old Berrios was ultimately stuck with a second straight loss to Kansas City as the Blue Jays could only muster a lone run off Cole Ragans. Berrios lowered his ERA to an excellent 1.44 with a 1.01 WHIP and 31:13 K:BB through 43.2 innings this season. He'll look to get back in the win column in his next start, currently lined up for next week in Philadelphia. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:47 pm
