  • Clubs first homer in loss
    Brujan went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 8-3 loss to the Phillies.

    Advice: Brujan got the scoring started in this one with a leadoff blast off Taijuan Walker in the bottom of the fifth inning. It was his first home run as a Marlin and just his fourth in 130 major-league games. Brujan also singled and was caught stealing, and added an additional run after reaching on a fielder's choice. The 26-year-old has become an everyday player for the Marlins over the last two weeks, starting 13 of the last 15 contests.   • Exits with right knee injury
    Morel was removed from Saturday's game versus the Pirates in the fifth inning with right knee soreness, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

    Christopher Morel was removed from Saturday’s game against the Pirates with an apparent knee injury.

    Advice: Morel appeared to injure himself while sliding into second base on a stolen base attempt in the third inning. He remained in the game for another inning defensively, but after a lengthy rain delay, he was replaced by a pinch hitter with the bases loaded in the fifth inning.     Advice: Marte hit a two-run homer off John Means in the third. That’s the ninth homer of the season for the 30-year-old veteran, and he’s plated 21 runs over the first six weeks of the season.     Jordan Westburg hit a walk-off single while going 4-for-5 to give the Orioles to a 5-4 win over the Diamondbacks in the 11th inning Saturday.

    Advice: Westburg singled home Colton Cowser to give Baltimore the victory. The infielder added two more singles and a double while increasing his average to .301 with an .867 OPS.     Advice: Schneider once again hit in the leadoff spot, and he looked comfortable doing it. The 25-year-old also stole his second base of the season, while the homer is the fourth of the season. George Springer (illness) did appear late in the game as a pinch-hitter, but considering how good Schneider has been and Springer, well, hasn’t, there’s a chance that Schneider remains at the top of the lineup for the foreseeable future.
