    • Gio Urshela drives in lone run for Tigers in loss
Gio Urshela went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Braves.

Advice: Urshela’s RBI single in the top of the sixth gave the Tigers their first run scored on a night where the Tigers struggled to string together hits against Spencer Schwellenbach, who made his best start of the season. Urshela was responsible for one of the Tigers’ five hits on the night and is hitting .304/.365/.413 in the month of June. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:49 pm

    • Jeimer Candelario exits game with tendinitis issue
Jeimer Candelario was removed from Tuesday’s game against the Pirates with general fatigue and tendinitis.

Advice: Reds manager David Bell told reporters afterwards that Candelario isn’t in danger of requiring a trip to the injured list. It sounds like more of a day-to-day maintenance issue than anything else. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:28 pm

    • Jeimer Candelario leaves game with apparent injury
Jeimer Candelario was removed from Tuesday’s game against the Pirates with an apparent injury.

Advice: Candelario didn’t look right during an eighth-inning at-bat and was replaced by Spencer Steer at first base in the bottom of the eighth inning. There should be an update on his status soon. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:45 pm

    • Dealing with back injury
Kirilloff's option to Triple-A St. Paul was rescinded Tuesday, as the Twins placed him on the 10-day injured list due to back soreness and nerve issues, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The demotion was initially reported after Wednesday's win against the Rockies, but Kirilloff is instead back with the big club as the injury is evaluated. The 26-year-old underwent an MRI in late May, but he apparently didn't communicate how troublesome the injury had become as he attempted to play through it. It's unclear how long Kirilloff is expected to be sidelined, but the Twins could plan out a lengthy rehab assignment given his .654 OPS and career-worst 26.4 percent strikeout rate this year. • Takes BP on Monday
Phillies manager Rob Thomson said Clemens (back) is "getting pretty close" to a return from the 10-day injured list after taking batting practice Monday, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Clemens has been on the shelf since June 3, one day after being scratched from the lineup ahead of the Phillies' game against the Cardinals after his bat locked up on him during batting practice. He could go out on a brief minor-league rehab assignment prior to being activated from the IL. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:18 pm

    • Getting breather against LHP
Biggio isn't in the Dodgers' lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Biggio will get a day off versus southpaw Austin Gomber and the Rockies. Enrique Hernandez will get the nod at third base instead while batting seventh. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:33 pm

    • Outrighted to Las Vegas
The Athletics outrighted Brown to Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday.

Advice: Brown has started nearly every game for the A's this season, but he will be jettisoned off the 40-man roster and sent back to Triple-A after putting up just a .557 OPS through 195 plate appearances. The 31-year-old outfielder will remain within the organization, but his bat will presumably need to come alive in the minors for him to have any chance at returning to Oakland later this year. Lawrence Butler was recalled from Las Vegas in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:24 pm

    • Twins put Alex Kirilloff on 10-day IL with back issue
Twins placed 1B/OF Alex Kirilloff on the 10-day injured list with back soreness.

Advice: The exact nature of the injury is a bit unclear at the moment, but Kirilloff’s recent demotion to Triple-A St. Paul has been rescinded as he’ll head to the injured list instead. The 26-year-old indicated Tuesday that he was playing through a lingering back issue in the majors before being sent down last week. The former top prospect has struggled this season and it’s fair to speculate whether he still fits into Minnesota’s long-term plans anymore. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:23 pm

    • Selected to majors
The Athletics selected Nevin's contract from Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday.

Advice: Nevin has slashed .296/.365/.667 at Triple-A since being DFA'd toward the end of May, and his resurgence in the minors has now allowed him to reclaim a spot on the A's. The 27-year-old has experience at the corner infield and corner outfield positions, and his versatility could allow him to start on a somewhat regular basis. J.D. Davis was designated for assignment in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:17 pm
