    • Could be back Sunday
Perez has a right knee sprain but is expected to be back in the lineup Sunday against the Dodgers or Tuesday against Oakland, Joel Goldberg of Bally Sports Kansas City reports.

Advice: An MRI revealed Perez is dealing with just a minor sprain and some inflammation in his right knee, which is encouraging news after he was pulled from Friday's game against Los Angeles. While Perez is expected to be back in the lineup as soon as Sunday, it's possible he'll DH for a few games to get his knee back to full strength, especially after the Royals called up Austin Nola on Saturday. • Alek Thomas moving rehab to Triple-A on Monday
Alek Thomas (hamstring) will have his minor league rehab assignment shifted to Triple-A Reno on Monday.

Advice: The 24-year-old outfielder has been playing games in the Rookie-level Arizona Complex League over the weekend, so he’ll step up the competition level for a few games at Triple-A before he’s cleared to return to the Diamondbacks’ outfield. If all goes according to plan, he should return before the end of next week. Rotoworld 35 minutes ago

    • Has Grade 2 hamstring strain
Harris has a Grade 2 left hamstring strain and there isn't a timetable for return, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports Saturday.

Advice: Harris was placed on the 10-day IL earlier Saturday after sustaining a strained hamstring in Friday's game against the Rays. However, an MRI revealed that Harris' strain is Grade 2, which likely indicates he'll be sidelined for more than the minimum 10 days. Ramon Laureano was called up to take Harris' 26-man roster spot, though J.P. Martinez should handle most of the work in center field. Rotowire.com 37 minutes ago

    • Jorge Polanco (hamstring) begins rehab assignment
Jorge Polanco (hamstring) will begin a minor league rehab assignment at High-A Everett on Saturday.

Advice: The 30-year-old second baseman is only expected to need a couple of games to get his timing back before he’s cleared to return to the Mariners’ lineup. Expect him back early next week, which will severely impact the playing time for Ryan Bliss, who has been filling in at second base over the past few weeks. Rotoworld 38 minutes ago

    • Jake Cave (head) returns to action on Saturday
Jake Cave (head) returned to the Rockies’ starting lineup on Saturday.

Fortunately, he sustained just a minor cut to his forehead and is able to return to action the following evening. The 31-year-old outfielder will bat seventh against Jared Jones and the Pirates on Saturday night. Rotoworld 41 minutes ago

    • Michael Harris II diagnosed with Grade 2 strain
Michael Harris II has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 left hamstring strain.

Advice: If it wasn’t bad enough that the 23-year-old outfielder landed on the injured list with his hamstring strain, his MRI exam revealed it to be a more serious strain, which means that he’ll be sidelined for even longer. The Braves have yet to provide a timeline for his recovery, but it’s going to be longer than just a couple of weeks. Expect Ramon Laureano to see increased action in the Braves’ outfield in the meantime. Rotoworld 46 minutes ago

    • Back in lineup Saturday
Cave (head) is playing right field and batting seventh Saturday against Pittsburgh.

Advice: After being hit in the head by a line drive Friday during pre-game BP, Cave was cleared for action Saturday and will start in right field. Prior to the incident, Cave had generated a hit in three straight games and owns a .607 OPS on the year. Rotowire.com 48 minutes ago

    • Resumes throwing
Cisnero (shoulder) restarted a throwing program June 10, per MLB.com.

Advice: Cisnero has been out of action since April 27, and he landed on the 10-day injured list due to shoulder discomfort the following day. The right-handed reliever began a throwing program May 17 but was subsequently shut down after experiencing lower-back tightness. Cisnero was eventually transferred to the 60-day IL, so he's not eligible to return until late June, though there's a good chance he'll remain out longer than that. Rotowire.com Today, 4:00 pm
