    • Bregman blasts two homers Monday
Alex Bregman went 3-for-4 with a double, two home runs, three runs scored and four RBI in the Astros’ win over the Athletics on Monday.

Advice: Bregman homered in the fourth inning and seventh inning before adding a two-run double in the eighth inning for good measure. He’d been off to a slow start so far this season and the Astros have even moved him down in the batting order. More games like this and he’ll be back in the middle of the order.

    • Back on bench Monday
Joe is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Brewers.

Advice: Joe isn't quite an everyday player for the Pirates, but he's been one of the more productive hitters in a struggling lineup this season and is gradually starting to earn steadier playing time versus right-handed pitching. He'll take a seat against Brewers righty Colin Rea in the series opener in Milwaukee, however, as the Pirates trot out a starting outfield of Bryan Reynolds, Michael Taylor and Jack Suwinski from left to right. Meanwhile, Rowdy Tellez will draw the start at first base and Andrew McCutchen will serve as Pittsburgh's designated hitter. Rotowire.com Monday, 3:16 pm

    • Goes back-to-back in first inning
Cronenworth went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-0 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Cronenworth got things started for the Padres by going back-to-back with Fernando Tatis off Walker Buehler in the opening inning. He went hitless the rest of the afternoon but continues to be one of the Padres' best bats. He had a 12-game hit streak that came to an end Friday and has been showing increased power early on. His .503 slug percentage is fourth among all first basemen and is a significant personal improvement after averaging a .384 slugging over his last two seasons. For the year, Cronenworth is now slashing .285/.349/.503 with seven homers, 27 RBI, 20 runs and a 14:27 BB:K in 169 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:50 pm

    • Delivers extra-inning HR
Joe went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored during Sunday's 5-4 extra-inning loss to the Cubs.

Advice: Joe spearheaded the Pirates' comeback effort, plating Oneil Cruz on a leadoff homer in the bottom of the 10th inning. However, his long ball wasn't enough, as Pittsburgh trailed by three entering the frame. Joe has gone yard in back-to-back games, bringing his season total up to five homers in 134 plate appearances. • Jake Cronenworth leaves the yard in win on Sunday
Jake Cronenworth blasted his seventh home run of the season on Sunday, helping to power the Padres to victory over the visiting Dodgers.

Advice: The 30-year-old infielder went back-to-back with teammate Fernando Tatis Jr. off of Walker Buehler in the opening inning of this one, with Cronenworth’s blast traveling 408 feet (106.5 mph EV). That would be his only hit in four at-bats on the afternoon. For the season, he’s now slashing a healthy .285/.349/.503 to go along with the aforementioned seven long balls and 27 RBI. • Connor Joe has two hits, HR in loss to Cubs
Connor Joe went 2-for-4 with a home run and a double in a loss to the Cubs on Sunday.

Advice: Joe had a big 10th-inning home run off Adbert Alzolay that left the bat at 109.4 mph and brought the Pirates to within one. He also had a 102 mph double earlier in the game and has been seeing the ball well. He also made five starts for the Pirates this week and has been starting to play more regularly, which would be huge for his fantasy value. If he can continue to draw semi-regular starts against right-handed pitchers, he can be scooped up in all 15-team formats. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:33 pm

    • Giants place Michael Conforto (hamstring) on IL
Giants placed OF Michael Conforto on the 10-day injured list with a right hamstring strain.

Advice: The 31-year-old slugger sustained the injury as he was rounding first base during Saturday’s game against the Reds. No word yet on how long exactly he’ll be sidelined for. Luis Matos was recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding move to provide depth in the Giants’ outfield while Conforto is shelved. Rotoworld Sunday, 1:34 pm

    • Sitting Sunday
D'Arnaud is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Mets.

Advice: D'Arnaud will get a breather Sunday after starting in each of the last four games. He's gone 4-for-18 in May but has registered a hit in each of his last three contests. Chadwick Tromp will start behind the plate and bat ninth against Mets right-hander Luis Severino. Rotowire.com Sunday, 1:09 pm

    • Travis d’Arnaud sitting Sunday against Mets
Travis d’Arnaud is not in the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Mets.

Advice: Instead, Atlanta will start Chadwick Tromp behind the plate while d’Arnaud rests. The 35-year-old backstop was excellent to begin 2024, but he’s struggled thus far in May with a .611 OPS over 18 at-bats. Rotoworld Sunday, 12:41 pm
