      Davis Schneider went 1-for-6 with a two-run home run to win the game 5-3 for the Blue Jays over the Pirates on Friday.

      Advice: It felt for a moment like this 14-inning marathon would go on forever before Schneider found the right field seats in Toronto. He’s now a fixture at lead-off and one of the few bright spots in what’s otherwise been a bleak season for the Blue Jays.       Schwarber went 2-for-4 with a solo homer, an additional RBI, a walk and a stolen base in Wednesday's 6-1 victory over the Giants.

      Advice: He got the Phillies started with an opposite-field homer off Kyle Harrison to lead off the first inning. Schwarber drove in a second run with a base hit in the eighth, extending Philadelphia's lead to 5-0. It's the third straight two-hit game for Schwarber -- he's gone 6-for-12 with two homers, four RBI and two steals in that span.       Advice: Castellanos highlighted a three-hit day with a two-run homer off Kyle Harrison in the fifth inning, extending Philadelphia's lead to 4-0. It's just the second multi-hit game for Castellanos in his last nine contests -- he'd been stuck in a 5-for-32 slump prior to Wednesday.       Kyle Schwarber walloped a leadoff homer and also stole a base on Wednesday, propelling the Phillies to a 6-1 victory over the Giants.

      Advice: Schwarber delivered a tone-setting blast to left-center field right out of the gate against Giants starter Kyle Harrison before reaching on a fielder’s choice and stealing second base a couple frames later. The 31-year-old slugger also added an RBI single in the eighth inning as well to put the cherry on top of a multi-hit performance at Oracle Park, which is one of the toughest ballparks in the league for left-handed batters.       Nick Castellanos went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer on Wednesday in the Phillies’ win over the Giants.

      Advice: Castellanos connected on a fifth-inning offering from Giants lefty Kyle Harrison, sending his seventh round-tripper of the season out to left-center field at spacious Oracle Park.       Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI singles in a win over the Astros on Tuesday.

      Advice: The surging slugger did it the small-ball way Tuesday, opening the scoring in the first inning with a timely knock that plated Josh Rojas before knocking in Ryan Bliss with an eighth-inning infield single. Rodriguez's bat has found life over the last four games, with Tuesday's tally qualifying as his third straight multi-hit effort and his pair of RBI pushing his total in that category over that span to seven.       Advice: Schneider batted leadoff for the 10th time in 11 games and provided a spark atop the lineup as Toronto took home its second win in a row. Overall, Schneider has posted an .819 OPS in 13 starts as a leadoff man this season, and so long as he continues to excel in that capacity, he should stick as the Blue Jays' table setter even as George Springer is beginning to emerge from his season-long slumber.       Julio Rodríguez went 2-for-4 with a go-ahead single in the bottom of the eighth as the Mariners bested the Astros 4-2 on Tuesday.

      Advice: Rodriguez delivered after Josh Rojas tied the game with an RBI single off Ryan Pressly. Those two combined for four of the Mariners’ seven hits and all three of the team’s runs batted in tonight (the other run also came on Rodríguez’s eighth-inning hit, but it was the result of an error).
