    • Reds activate Nick Lodolo from IL
      Reds activated LHP Nick Lodolo from the 15-day injured list.

      Advice: Lodolo was off to a tremendous start to the season, with his 3.34 ERA and 43/9 K/BB ratio in six starts after returning from his leg injury from last year. The 26-year-old has yet to have arm problems in his MLB career but has been banged up continuously. The Reds will hope he can remain healthy for the rest of the season, but he is a risky start today after not making a rehab appearance prior to being activated.       Lodolo (groin) was activated from the 15-day injured list Monday ahead of his scheduled start against the Cardinals.

      Advice: An extended bullpen session last Wednesday put Lodolo in the clear to return after the minimum, and without a rehab assignment. The left-hander has pitched brilliantly in between IL stints this season, posting a 3.34 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 43:9 K:BB over 35 innings. While he may not be available for 90-plus pitches right away in his return, there has been nothing to suggest Lodolo will face any major restrictions against St. Louis.     • Cools off in no-decision
      Woo did not factor into the decision Sunday against Washington, allowing three earned runs on five hits and zero walks over six innings. He struck out one.

      Advice: Woo finally showed some signs of weakness Sunday, surrendering his first home run of the season and allowing a season-high three earned runs. Even so, the 24-year-old needed just 70 pitches to notch his second consecutive quality start. Despite not topping 80 pitches in any outing this season, Woo sits at 2-0 with a sparkling 1.66 ERA and 0.60 WHIP in 21.2 innings this season.       Bryan Woo pitched six innings and allowed three runs Sunday versus the Nationals.

      Advice: Woo got just three missed swings and one strikeout today, but he proved moderately effective in allowing only five hard-hit balls and five hits. The lone extra-base hit he gave up was a solo shot to Joey Gallo. Woo will face the Angels at home next weekend, making him a solid play in mixed leagues. Rotoworld Sunday, 4:59 pm

    • Alexis Díaz fans two to earn 10th save
      Alexis Díaz struck out both batters he faced for a save Sunday against the Dodgers.

      Advice: The Reds were up 4-0 to start the ninth, so Díaz didn’t enter then. Instead, he came in after Carson Spiers allowed Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman to reach with one out, creating the save opportunity. Díaz then retired Teoscar Hernández and Andy Pages to end the game. It was the 10th save in 12 opportunities for Díaz, who came into the day having allowed eight earned runs in 7 2/3 innings this month. Rotoworld Sunday, 4:29 pm
       
    • Scoreless streak ends in loss
      Crochet (5-5) allowed two runs on three hits and a walk while striking out 11 over six innings to take the loss Sunday versus the Orioles.

      Advice: Crochet was able to extend his scoreless streak to 24 innings, which began with his last two frames versus the Cardinals on May 5. It came to a close when Adley Rutschman took him deep in the sixth inning of Sunday's contest, and that was enough to snap Crochet's four-start winning streak as well. On the bright side, he earned a fifth straight quality start and reached double-digit strikeouts for the third time this year.     • Grabs 10th save
      Diaz struck out both batters he faced to pick up his 10th save of the season Sunday against the Dodgers.

      Advice: Diaz closed the door on the Dodgers for the second consecutive game, though he ran both counts full and needed 16 pitches to record the final two outs. It was the fourth consecutive scoreless outing for Diaz, who appears to be turning things around after allowing 17 baserunners and 10 runs (nine earned) while blowing a save and earning two losses over his previous seven appearances spanning 5.2 innings between April 29 and May 19.     • Tosses seven no-hit innings
      Bradish (1-0) earned the win over the White Sox on Sunday, pitching seven no-hit and scoreless innings. He walked four and struck out 11.

      Advice: The start of the game was delayed due to rain, but that didn't throw Bradish out of his rhythm. He threw 63 of 103 pitches for strikes while generating 13 whiffs. While the four walks were a season high for the right-hander, it's nothing to be concerned about given his overall dominance in the contest. He's now at a 1.75 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 34:11 K:BB through 25.2 innings across five starts this season. Bradish is projected to make his next start at home versus the Rays.     • Garrett Crochet takes tough luck loss on Sunday
      Garrett Crochet allowed two runs on three hits over six innings in a loss to the Orioles on Sunday.

      Advice: Crochet struck out 11 and walked just one, but the two-run homer he allowed to Adley Rutschman in the sixth inning proved to be the difference in the game. The left-hander tied the Orioles up all day, getting 18 whiffs for a 38 percent whiff rate and 37 percent CSW. He now has a 3.68 ERA on the season with 85 strikeouts in 63 2/3 innings. Anybody who dropped him after his poor three-start stretch against the Twins, Phillies, and Reds in mid-April is probably kicking themselves now as Crochet has allowed just five total earned runs in six starts since then.
