    • Notches three extra-base hits
Duran went 3-for-5 with two doubles, a solo home run and an additional run scored during Thursday's 7-5 loss to the Rays.

Advice: Duran provided plenty of pop from the leadoff position Thursday, swatting his second homer of 2024 and generating two doubles for a second straight game. The contest was Duran's fourth game with at least three hits this season. The center fielder finished the four-game series against Tampa Bay 6-for-15 (.400) with three runs scored and five extra-base hits. Rotowire.com Thursday, 9:10 pm

    • Happ leaves the yard Thursday
Ian Happ went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Pirates on Thursday.

Advice: The homer was just Happ’s second of the year. It has undeniably been a down year for the 29-year-old outfielder. His power has cratered as his ISO is just .100 compared to his career .198 ISO. Most of Happ’s utility comes from playing everyday. He’s played 158 games in each of the last two seasons. Last season was his best year as he was able to compile 21 home runs, 86 runs scored, 84 RBI, and 14 stolen bases. He won’t be able to reach those numbers this season, but his $20 million average annual value should still keep him in the lineup everyday.

    • Absent from lineup again
Happ is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game in Atlanta, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Advice: Happ is on the bench for the second game in a row, so he could be dealing with an unreported injury. Mike Tauchman will cover left field in Happ's stead Wednesday. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 1:39 pm

    • Snaps power drought Tuesday
Harris went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Tuesday's 7-0 win over the Cubs.

Advice: The 23-year-old center fielder snapped a 20-game homer drought by taking Jameson Taillon deep in the fourth inning, kicking off a six-run frame that blew the game wide open. Harris is just one of a number of Atlanta hitters who has had a sluggish start to the season -- Tuesday's long ball was his first extra-base hit of any kind since April 26 -- but he may be heating up, as he has five hits and two walks over the last four games, lifting his slash line on the year to .260/.305/.390. • Perfect at plate in loss
Haniger went 3-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Royals.

Advice: Haniger took Kansas City closer James McArthur deep in the ninth inning, but it didn't turn into a rally for the Mariners. The homer was Haniger's second in May and sixth of the year, but he's hitting a poor .182 (8-for-44) this month. He started the season well, and he's now slashing .214/.277/.372 with 21 RBI, 17 runs scored and five doubles through 40 contests. Haniger continues to fill a near everyday role between right field and designated hitter. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 10:11 pm

    • Mitch Haniger goes 3-for-3, homers versus Royals
Mitch Haniger finished 3-for-3 with a homer and a walk against the Royals on Tuesday.

Advice: In a late change, Haniger got to DH tonight, as Mitch Garver was scratched. Really, Haniger should be DHing fairly regularly at this point, but that’s pretty much impossible as a result of the Garver signing. There’s also the argument that Haniger shouldn’t be playing much at all, given his .214/.277/.372 line and poor defense in right field. He came through in this one, though. • Running less
Duran has attempted five steals over the last 35 games, after he opened the season with six steals in the first six games.

Advice: There are a few factors that explain the drop in attempts, per Alex Speier of The Boston Globe. Opposing teams became aware of Duran's potential impact, and the Red Sox have been more judicious after running into several outs early in the season. Additionally, manager Alex Cora asked Duran to run less given that he plays every day. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 7:03 pm

    • Michael Harris II homers in win over Cubs
Michael Harris II went 1-for-3 with a home run and a walk in a win over the Cubs on Tuesday.

Advice: Harris hit a solo shot off of Jameson Taillon in the fourth inning that traveled 426 feet and left the bat at 106.7 mph. It was his fourth home run and 15th RBI of the season. The 23-year-old is one of quite a few Braves hitters who aren’t living up to their typical production early in the season. Still, there is nothing under the hood that suggests Harris is struggling, and he should be in for a solid summer ahead. Rotoworld Tuesday, 6:49 pm
    • Taking seat Tuesday
Happ is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game in Atlanta.

Advice: The switch hitter is better from the left side of the plate, so it makes sense to give him a breather as Atlanta sends southpaw Chris Sale to the hill. Mike Tauchman will occupy left field for the Cubs. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 1:53 pm
