    • Amed Rosario collects three hits in win over Mets
Amed Rosario had a nice night at the dish in Friday’s victory over the Mets, going 3-for-5 with a pair of runs scored and two RBI.

Advice: The 28-year-old infielder reached on an infield single to start the second inning and scored the Rays’ first run on a ground out off the bat of Jonny DeLuca. He then smacked an RBI single off of José Quintana in the third inning that gave the Rays a 4-3 lead they would never relinquish. He then came around to score on a two-run single by DeLuca. Rosario has been a bright spot in the Rays’ lineup this season, slashing a healthy .309/.327/.427 with two homers, 15 RBI and three stolen bases in his first 29 games. Rotoworld 45 minutes ago

    • Homers again Friday
Morel went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 3-1 loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Morel snapped a scoreless tie with two outs in the sixth inning, launching a solo shot to centerfield off Joe Ross to put the Cubs ahead 1-0. Morel now has homers in back-to-back games and three in his last five contests following a span of 16 games without a long ball. The 24-year-old third baseman is now slashing .210/.286/.403 through 133 plate appearances this year with six homers, 18 RBI, 19 runs scored and three stolen bases. Rotowire.com Today, 2:27 pm

    • Christopher Morel swats three-run homer in loss
Christopher Morel connected on a three-run homer Thursday in an extra-inning loss to the Mets.

Advice: Morel extended the Cubs’ lead to 4-0 in the fifth with a three-run blast off Adrian Houser. The second-year infielder has gone deep five times, and he’s now up to 17 RBI over Chicago’s 32 games. It’s nice to see some offensive success again, as Morel has scuffled as of late to drop his line to .209/.287/.383. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:11 pm

    • Reds send TJ Friedl (wrist) on rehab assignment
Reds sent TJ Friedl (wrist) on a rehab assignment to Triple-A Louisville.

Advice: Two weeks ago, Reds manager David Bell said that Friedl could get a rehab assignment soon and the team are sticking to that timetable. Friedl fractured his right wrist during spring training, but there hasn’t been any setbacks in his recovery, so seeing him get some live reps is a positive sign. Friedl had his best season in 2023 where he had career-highs in almost every statistical category. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:45 am

    • Cleared for rehab assignment
Friedl (wrist) was sent to Triple-A Louisville on Thursday to begin a rehab assignment, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Advice: Friedl suffered a small fracture of the distal radius of his right wrist back in mid-March, but he's finally made enough progress in order to be cleared to play in games. Given how much time he's missed, Friedl will likely require a good number of rehab at-bats in the minors before returning from the 10-day injured list. The Reds' outfield situation is already crowded, but Friedl should play on a regular basis -- at least against right-handed pitching -- once he's activated. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:44 am

    • Solid over seven frames
McKenzie did not factor into the decision in a win over the Astros on Wednesday, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk over seven innings while striking out six.

Advice: McKenzie was highly effective Wednesday despite getting down in the count early and often, striking out at least six batters for the third consecutive start, with five of those strikeouts coming on his curveball. The right-hander issued only one free pass in the contest, which marked a season best, while also going seven innings for the first time in the early campaign. McKenzie has not allowed more than two runs in any of his last three starts after surrendering a season-high five runs against the Yankees back on April 13. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:10 am

    • Set for second rehab outing
Bradley (pectoral) will throw his second rehab outing with Triple-A Durham on Saturday or Sunday, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Bradley was sharp in his first rehab appearance and ramped up to 65 pitches while completing five scoreless innings of work. If he can increase his workload during his weekend start, it's possible that he could be activated from the injured list by mid-May. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 11:34 pm

    • Triston McKenzie strikes out six in no-decision
Triston McKenzie allowed two runs with six strikeouts over seven innings in a no-decision against the Astros on Wednesday.

Advice: McKenzie was outstanding against the Astros on Wednesday. He had allowed just one hit across five scoreless innings before a double and a base hit brought the first run in for Houston in the sixth. Kyle Tucker led off the seventh inning with a game-tying homer. McKenzie finished the inning with two strikeouts, giving him six on the day. The 26-year-old right-hander will take a 4.34 ERA, 1.48 WHIP, and a 24/18 K/BB ratio across 29 innings into a start against the Tigers in Cleveland on Monday. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:59 pm

    • Notches another save
Neris worked around a hit to pitch a scoreless ninth inning and record the save in Wednesday's 1-0 win over the Mets.

Advice: Shota Imanaga dominated the Mets across seven innings, and then Neris shut things down to secure his fifth save of the season. The veteran righty has pitched well since taking over closing duties from Adbert Alzolay, as Neris has allowed just one earned run over his last five appearances, lowering his season ERA to 3.27. While things could change at some point, it looks like Neris is locked in as the closer in Chicago for now. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:15 pm
