    • Allows just one run in win
Rodon (2-1) earned the win Saturday against the Brewers after he struck out eight and allowed one run on two hits and a walk over six innings.

Advice: The left-hander delivered seven scoreless frames in his previous start and followed up with a season-high eight strikeouts in Milwaukee on Saturday, with the lone blemish against him being a solo homer from Rhys Hoskins in the opening frame. Rodon surrendered 15 long balls in 14 starts last season but has a 0.8 HR/9 through six outings in 2024. It's been an encouraging start to the campaign with a 2.48 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 30:14 K:BB across 32.2 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:18 am

    • Carlos Rodón’fans eight over six strong vs. MIL
Carlos Rodón gave up just one run while striking out eight in six innings of work while getting a win over the Brewers on Saturday.

Advice: We don’t have rooting interests, but it’s been refreshing to see Rodón look so effective over his past few starts. He allowed just two hits with one walk, and that makes 13 innings of one-run baseball over those last two outings. The injury concerns with Rodón are very real and consistency has not been his friend, but the 31-year-old absolutely has the stuff to be a dominant fantasy option. He’ll look to keep it going Thursday in a tough matchup with Baltimore. Rotoworld Saturday, 10:13 pm

    • Coughs up four homers
Musgrove (3-3) allowed seven runs on eight hits and two walks over 3.2 innings Friday, striking out four and taking a loss against the Phillies.

Advice: Musgrove was cursed by the long ball Friday. He gave up a leadoff shot to Kyle Schwarber to begin the game before Philadelphia crushed three more homers during a four-run third inning. Musgrove is still searching for some consistency and his ERA has shot up to 6.94 through seven starts (35 innings). While he's struck out more than five batters just one time in 2024, he set a new season best by forcing 15 whiffs Friday, including seven with the slider. Musgrove will carry a lackluster 27:13 K:BB into his next outing, which is projected to come at home against the Reds. Rotowire.com Friday, 9:30 pm

    • Joe Musgrove shelled over 3 2/3 in loss to PHI
Joe Musgrove gave up seven runs in 3 2/3 innings in a loss to the Phillies on Friday.

Advice: Giving up eight hits while not getting out of the fourth inning. Giving up four homers in that time is worse. Musgrove simply didn’t have it Friday night against the loaded Philadelphia lineup, and a starter who had been just so-so coming into the outing was much worse than that. Musgrove will work on lowering his 6.94 ERA against the Reds on Wednesday. Rotoworld Friday, 9:28 pm

    • Rough night vs. LA
Bassitt (2-4) took the loss Friday against the Dodgers, allowing seven runs on nine hits and three walks over 2.2 innings. He struck out four.

Advice: Bassitt allowed a solo home run to Shohei Ohtani in the first inning before imploding in the third, when he allowed another six runs on six hits including a Max Muncy three-run homer. It's been a rocky start to the year for the 35-year-old Bassitt -- his ERA is up to 5.64 with a 1.85 WHIP and 30:17 K:BB across six starts (30.1 innings). He'll look to right the ship in his next outing, currently slated for next week against Kansas City. Rotowire.com Friday, 9:06 pm

    • Chris Bassitt tagged for seven runs by Dodgers
Chris Bassitt was lit up for seven runs in 2 2/3 innings by the Dodgers on Friday.

Advice: Bassitt had no luck at all tonight. He gave up hits on nine of 12 balls in play, even though just five were hard-hit. The two homers he allowed were hit 360 and 366 feet, with the former being a homer in just 11 of 30 ballparks. Bassitt’s ERA jumped from 3.90 to 5.66. If it makes anyone feel better, he finished April at 5.18 last year and then came in at 3.29 the rest of the way. Rotoworld Friday, 6:56 pm

    • Next start will be Monday
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Thursday that Paxton's next start will be at Arizona on Monday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: Paxton would be on regular rest Sunday after he started Tuesday's game against the Nationals, but the Dodgers will go with a bullpen game Sunday in Toronto and give Paxton an extra day of rest. The southpaw has managed a 2.61 ERA but a 1.55 WHIP and 11:17 K:BB through 20.2 innings this season. Rotowire.com Thursday, 1:25 pm

    • Fans six in no-decision
Manaea did not factor into the decision in a win over the Giants on Wednesday, hurling 4.2 shutout innings while allowing four hits and four walks. He struck out six.

Advice: Manaea struck out the side in the first inning but got himself into trouble in the second after giving up two walks and a single to open the frame. Fortunately for the right-hander, he was still able to work his way out of it without seeing any runs come home while also working his way through a similar jam in the third. Manaea issued a season-high four walks in the contest and has surrendered multiple walks in all five of his outings to open the campaign. However, he's also limited opposing offenses to one or fewer runs three of his five starts. Rotowire.com Thursday, 4:30 am

    • Goes five innings in no-decision
Lodolo didn't factor into the decision Wednesday, allowing three runs on six hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out four.

Advice: After allowing just one run through his first two starts of the year, Lodolo struggled a bit Wednesday, though he'd ultimately put together a respectable effort against a potent Philadelphia offense as the Reds rallied for a comeback win. Overall, the 26-year-old southpaw is 2-0 with a 2.12 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 20:4 K:BB across 17 innings. Lodolo's currently slated to face the Padres on the road in his next outing.
