    • Gets checked for undisclosed injury
Lively returned to Cleveland on Monday to undergo further medical exams for an undisclosed injury, Tom Withers of the Associated Press reports.

Advice: The injury presumably stems from Lively's most recent start in Miami on Saturday, when he was lifted from the game after throwing 65 pitches over five shutout innings. Per the Associated Press, manager Stephen Vogt said that Lively experienced some tightness after sitting for an extended period in the top of the fifth inning, when the Guardians erupted for six runs. Vogt didn't expound any further beyond that, but the fact that Lively temporarily left the Guardians to get examined more closely suggests that his early exit wasn't merely precautionary. The Guardians have off days Monday and Thursday and can get by with a shortened rotation for a bit if they choose, so Lively may not be in line to pitch during this weekend's series in Toronto even if he doesn't require a stay on the injured list. Lively has been a pleasant surprise for the Guardians and fantasy managers alike, as he's won each of his last five starts while ringing up a 2.54 ERA and 1.02 WHIP over 28.1 innings. • Struggles continue against Angels
Verlander did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 9-7 loss to the Angels, allowing four runs on seven hits and no walks while striking out three over five innings.

Advice: Verlander had another pedestrian outing against one of the weaker lineups in baseball. The positives were that he didn't allow a home run or walk a batter, though he did give up seven hits for a second straight start and isn't missing many bats, evidenced by his 2.9 swinging strike percentage Sunday. Verlander has just seven strikeouts over his last 10 innings, and this is after coming off of back-to-back nine strikeout performances to end May. The 41-year-old will take a 3.95 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 51:17 K:BB (57 innings) into his next start against the Tigers over the weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 8:02 am
    • Swipes bag in return
Marte went 1-for-4 with a walk, a steal and two runs scored in Sunday's 9-3 win over the Padres.

Advice: Marte was back in Sunday's lineup after being scratched Saturday due to back soreness. His back didn't appear to hinder him, as he picked up just his second steal of the season after walking to leadoff the fourth. Marte has been scorching hot at the plate in June, slashing .462/.548/.846 with three homers, six RBI, six runs and a 4:5 BB:K over his last seven games. Rotowire.com Today, 7:34 am

    • Homers in blowout loss
Profar went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Profar took Tommy Henry deep in the third inning for his second home run over his last three games. Since May 28, the switch hitter has racked up five multi-hit performances while slashing .349/.431/.605 with three homers, 11 RBI, six runs and a 6:9 BB:K in 50 plate appearances. The 31-year-old's .325 average currently ranks second in the league. Rotowire.com Today, 6:52 am
    • Set to resume throwing program
Romano (elbow) is expected to resume throwing Monday, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Advice: The right-hander will throw from flat ground and stretch out to 150 feet before beginning mound work. The Blue Jays are proceeding cautiously with their closer after he received an anti-inflammatory injection June 2, but Romano might still be able to avoid a rehab stint before being activated from the injured list. • Continues hot stretch at plate
Hernandez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Sunday's 6-4 loss to the Yankees.

Advice: Hernandez followed up his two-homer effort Saturday with another in the sixth Sunday off Luis Gil to put the Dodgers up 3-2. He's now produced four multi-hit games in a row and has seven extra-base hits over that span. For the year, the 31-year-old is now slashing .266/.333/.516 with 16 homers, 48 RBI, 39 runs and a 23:81 BB:K in 282 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 3:04 am

    • Teoscar Hernández leaves the yard in loss to Yanks
Teoscar Hernández clubbed his 16th home run of the season as the Dodgers fell to the Yankees on Sunday evening in New York.

Advice: The 31-year-old slugger followed up his two-homer performance on Saturday with another mammoth shot on Sunday — this time a 414-foot (102.3 mph EV) solo shot off of Luis Gil in the sixth inning that gave the Dodgers a 3-2 advantage. It would be short-lived though. Hernández also doubled in the ballgame, finishing the night 2-for-4. On the season, he’s now slashing .266/.333/.516 with the aforementioned 16 long balls and 48 RBI. • Jurickson Profar leaves the yard in loss Sunday
Jurickson Profar socked his 10th dinger of the season on Sunday afternoon in a lopsided loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: The 31-year-old outfielder continued his hot-hitting ways, crushing a 384-foot (102.5 mph EV) solo shot off of Tommy Henry in the third inning, pulling the Padres to within four runs at 7-3. That would be as close as they would get. Profar also singled in the contest, finishing the afternoon 2-for-4. He’s now slashing an unbelievable .325/.420/.504 with 10 homers, 43 RBI and four stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:21 pm
    • Nails six-out win
Jansen (2-1) picked up the win Sunday against the White Sox, allowing one hit and no walks with five strikeouts over two innings.

Advice: Jansen had made just one appearance since May 26, and the Red Sox made use of his fresh arm Sunday, bringing him in for the eighth and ninth innings with Boston trailing by one. The closer went more than one inning for the first time this season and set a career high in strikeouts, surpassing three Ks for the first time since 2017. Jansen is 9-of-10 in save chances and owns a 2.61 ERA on the campaign. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:05 pm
