Kenley Jansen earns victory against Cubs on Sunday
Kenley Jansen picked up his first victory of the season on Sunday night, working a scoreless ninth inning against the Cubs.
Advice: Jansen took over with the score tied 4-4 heading to the top half of the ninth inning. He did his job, retiring Dansby Swanson, Nick Madrigal and Miguel Amaya in order. The 36-year-old right-hander then became the beneficiary when the Red Sox walked it off in the home half of the frame. For the season, he now holds a 1.86 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and a 14/8 K/BB ratio over 9 2/3 innings while converting five of his first six save opportunities.
