    • Heliot Ramos stays hot with 10th homer in loss
Heliot Ramos blasted a three-run homer on Thursday in the Giants’ loss to the Cardinals at Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Alabama.

Advice: Ramos put San Francisco on the board with a no-doubter to right field in the third inning off Cardinals starter Andre Pallante for his 10th round-tripper of the season. The 24-year-old post-hype prospect has put together a pretty remarkable breakout campaign so far, batting .307 (46-for-150) with 10 homers, 35 RBI and one steal through 39 games. He’s homered eight times in 18 games since June 1. Unreal. Rotoworld Today, 8:05 pm

    • Struggles through five
Gore (6-6) suffered the loss Thursday, allowing four runs on 10 hits and two walks in five innings against the Diamondbacks. He struck out seven.

Advice: Gore was unable to match his opponent's efficiency on the mound, allowing 12 baserunners and needing 103 pitches to complete five frames. The Diamondbacks meanwhile needed only 87 pitches for the entirety of the contest including just 70 in seven innings by starter Ryne Nelson. Gore was done in by a lot of dink and dunk as nine of the 10 hits he allowed were singles. It was just the second time all season Gore has allowed more than three runs and was the fifth time he's eclipsed the 100-pitch plateau. The performance raised Gore's ERA from 3.24 to 3.49 while his WHIP lifted from 1.32 to 1.39. His next opportunity to toe the rubber is set for early next week when the Nationals travel to San Diego to take on the Padres. Rotowire.com Today, 4:05 pm

    • Witt Jr. blasts 12th home run in win Thursday
Bobby Witt Jr. went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Athletics on Thursday.

Advice: The home run was Witt Jr.'s 12th of the year. He hit a solo shot in the eighth inning to give the Royals a 3-2 lead. One of the best players in all of fantasy, Witt Jr.'s hitting .322 with a .921 OPS with 53 RBI this year. Rotoworld Today, 3:57 pm
    • Royce Lewis homers again versus Tampa Bay
Royce Lewis homered and walked twice against the Twins on Thursday.

Advice: Of course he homered. That’s already the ninth homer of the season for Lewis; a solid number for a first half of season, but even more impressive when you remember he’s only played 15 games. The 2017 first-overall pick has been remarkable when healthy enough to play, and his 2024 slash is a scorching .385/.459/.942. That’s obviously not sustainable, but he has the talent to be an elite fantasy player as long as he can stay on the field. Rotoworld Today, 1:28 pm

    • MacKenzie Gore allows 10 hits in loss to D-Backs
MacKenzie Gore allowed four runs while working five innings in a loss Thursday to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Gore did strike out seven, but he allowed 10 hits while also issuing two walks. Unsurprisingly, this left Gore with a high pitch count, as he needed 103 pitches to get through those five frames. The 25-year-old southpaw was coming off back-to-back excellent outings, but outside of the strikeouts, there weren’t many positives here. Gore is scheduled to face the Padres next week. • Jordan Westburg returns to lineup on Thursday
Jordan Westburg (hip) is back in the lineup for Thursday’s game against the Yankees.

Advice: Westburg missed Wednesday’s game after he was removed from Tuesday’s game following being hit by a pitch. The Orioles had previously said he was day-to-day and that proved true as he’s back at second base and hitting sixth on Thursday. Ramon Urias will play third base as Jorge Mateo heads to the bench. • Back in action Thursday
Westburg (hip) will start at second base and bat sixth in Thursday's game versus the Yankees.

Advice: Westburg had to depart Tuesday's contest with a bruised left hip and then didn't play Wednesday, but he's back in there for Thursday's rubber match. With Westburg handling second base, Ramon Urias will be at the hot corner. Rotowire.com Today, 11:40 am

    • Swipes second bag
Robert went 2-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base Wednesday against the White Sox.

Advice: Robert has popped five home runs in 14 games since returning from the injured list, but he's otherwise been a poor source of fantasy value. He has a 39.3 percent strikeout in that span and is hitting just .184. Positively, Robert did swipe his first base since returning and his second of the season. Rotowire.com Today, 7:36 am

    • Continues impressive stretch
Brown (4-5) earned the win against the White Sox on Wednesday, allowing one run on seven hits and no walks while striking out six batters over six innings.

Advice: The only run scored against Brown came on an Andrew Benintendi solo homer in the fourth inning. Otherwise, Brown was solid again -- all six of Chicago's other hits were singles, and the right-handed hurler didn't issue any walks for the second straight outing. Brown had an awful 9.78 ERA through 23 innings across his first six starts this season, but he's since lowered that mark to 4.72. He's been especially impressive of late, racking up six straight quality starts and limiting his opponents to one run over 19 frames while posting a 22:4 K:BB across his past three outings.
