    • Excels in first rehab start
Cole (elbow) completed 3.1 scoreless innings in a minor-league rehab start with Double-A Somerset on Tuesday, allowing two hits and striking out five batters.

Advice: In the first of what is expected to be multiple rehab outings, Cole threw 45 pitches and hit 97 mph on the radar gun, per Brendan Kuty of The Athletic. The veteran hurler surrendered a single to the first batter he faced but yielded just one more hit over the remainder of his outing. The beginning of Cole's rehab stint couldn't have gone much better, but he still figures to need at least a couple more appearances in the minors before he's ready to join the Yankees' rotation. If he doesn't experience any setbacks, the reigning AL Cy Young Award winner could make his season debut for the big club in the latter half of June. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:28 pm

    • Josh Rojas goes 3-for-5 in Mariners’ victory
Josh Rojas finished 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI versus the A’s on Tuesday.

Advice: It’s the first three-hit game for Rojas since May 5, when he raised his average to .360. He’s hit just .229/.275/.282 in 85 plate appearances since that date, but it’s been enough to keep him starting against righties for now. The Mariners could reevaluate that after Jorge Polanco returns. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:25 pm

    • Rutschman doubles, drives in two vs. Jays
Adley Rutschman went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Rutschman drove in the Orioles’ first run of the night in the third inning on an RBI single to plate Colton Cowser and later doubled to drive in Gunnar Henderson in the fifth inning. Rutschman continues to hit at a high rate and now has an eight-game hit streak that includes seven RBI over that span. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:56 pm

    • Grabs 12th save
Bednar delivered a perfect ninth inning against the Dodgers on Tuesday to earn the save in a 1-0 victory.

Advice: It's the seventh straight scoreless appearance for Bednar, who's allowed just one run over his last 10.1 innings. After a rocky start to the year, Bednar's lowered his ERA to 5.92 with a 1.23 WHIP and 25:6 K:BB across 24.1 innings while going 12-for-15 in save opportunities. • Springer homers in blowout loss to Orioles
George Springer went 1-for-3 with a home run in Tuesday’s loss to the Orioles.

Advice: The Blue Jays continue to struggle at the plate, with Springer’s home run, his fifth of the season, serving as their only run on the day. Springer is batting just .213 on the season but is 10-for-26 in his last eight games, with two homers and four RBI over that span. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:55 pm

    • David Bednar notches save in win over Dodgers
David Bednar pitched a scoreless ninth inning in a 1-0 win over the Dodgers on Tuesday.

Advice: Bednar didn’t allow a hit and also didn’t record a strikeout in the inning. The right-hander has thrown seven straight scoreless outings and has been scoreless in 10 of his last 11 appearances. After a rough start to the year, the All-Star is coming around to be one of the more reliable closers in fantasy again. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:53 pm

    • Seth Lugo wears down late against Guardians
Seth Lugo allowed five runs on six hits in six innings in a no-decision against the Guardians.

Advice: Lugo started the game with three scoreless innings before allowing three runs in the fourth. However, he settled down and threw two more scoreless innings but the Royals brought him back out for the seventh where he allowed a single and a two-run home runs before being pulled from the game. Lugo posted a 27 percent CSW on the night and induced eight whiffs on 46 swings. He doesn’t miss many bats, but he has been tremendous this season with a 2.16 ERA. He should certainly be started this weekend against the Mariners. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:20 pm

    • Bobby Miller (shoulder) to start this week at AAA
Bobby Miller (shoulder) will make a minor league rehab start this week for Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Advice: Miller dealt with some diminished velocity last weekend in his second minor league rehab start for Single-A Rancho Cucamonga, but the Dodgers reportedly aren’t concerned. The 25-year-old righty is slated to pitch against some higher-level minor-league competition this week before the club re-evaluates whether he’s ready to return to the majors. • Gerrit Cole strikes out five on Tuesday at AA
Gerrit Cole (elbow) struck out five over 3 1/3 scoreless innings on Tuesday in a minor league rehab start for Double-A Somerset.

Advice: Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Tuesday that Cole will require “at least a few” rehab outings before making his season debut, but he looked extremely sharp in this one. The 33-year-old reigning AL Cy Young Award winner was reportedly sitting in the mid-to-upper 90’s with his fastball and threw 45 pitches (34 strikes). He’ll presumably make another rehab start this weekend and could return to New York’s starting rotation at some point in late June or early July. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:29 pm
