All of the scoring done against him came in the fifth inning, as Luis Arraez roped an RBI single to center and then scored on an RBI double off the bat of Bryan De La Cruz.     Clay Holmes slammed the door on the Orioles on Wednesday night, getting the final five outs to preserve a two-run advantage.

    Advice: Holmes was called upon with two men on and one out in the eighth inning, and he quelled that threat by striking out Gunnar Henderson and Adley Rutschman in succession to end the inning. He returned for the ninth where he allowed a leadoff single to Ryan O’Hearn and nothing more.     Wentz worked around a hit and a walk to pitch a scoreless inning of relief and earn a hold in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Cardinals. He struck out one.

    Advice: Wentz has pitched well all season in relief, and he now has his first hold to show for it. The lefty has a miniscule 0.79 ERA across 11.1 innings and he's struck out 14. The move to the bullpen has done wonders for Wentz, as he struggled mightily as a starter last year, posting a 6.80 ERA and 1.68 WHIP across 105.2 innings.     Dodgers recalled RHP J.P. Feyereisen from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

    Advice: He’ll take the place of Landon Knack on the team’s active roster — at least for a few days until presumably Walker Buehler rejoins the Dodgers’ rotation. Feyereisen has been hit hard in two appearances out of the Dodgers’ bullpen this season, registering a troublesome 40.50 ERA, 6.00 WHIP and a 1/3 K/BB ratio over 1 1/3 innings of work.
