    • Goes deep again
Rengifo went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and two runs scored in Friday's win over Detroit.

Advice: Rengifo got things started with a two-run shot in the first inning. It was his sixth of the year and the first time this season he's gone deep in two straight games. He's produced four multi-hit performances in his last five games, boosting his season OPS from .770 to .808 in the process. Rengifo is slashing .315/.361/.447 with 18 extra-base hits, 20 steals and 34 runs scored this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:40 pm

    • Luis Rengifo swats two-run homer vs. Tigers
Luis Rengifo hit a two-run homer in the Angels’ win Friday over the Tigers.

Advice: Rengifo gave the Angels a 2-0 lead in the first inning with a two-run swat off Kenta Maeda. Those would be the only runs the Angels would pick up off Maeda, but the Halos were able to get to the Detroit bullpen to pull off the win. Rengifo has been a real bright spot for Los Angeles in 2024 with a .315 average, six homers and 24 RBI through the first 81 games of the year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:06 pm

    • Homers in blowout loss
Arenado went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Thursday's 11-4 loss to the Reds.

Advice: Arenado cut the deficit to 5-2 with his third-inning blast, but the Cardinals weren't able to build off it. While he's battled a couple of arm injures recently, the third baseman has still put together a decent June. He's batting .260 with a .698 OPS this month, though just five of his 20 hits have gone for extra bases over the last 21 contests. Overall, Arenado is at seven homers, 34 RBI, 27 runs scored, one stolen base and a .258/.313/.378 slash line for the year. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:53 am

    • Homer, two hits in win
Rengifo went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in Thursday's win over the Tigers.

Advice: Rengifo increased the Angels' lead to five runs with a two-out, two-run blast in the bottom of the fifth inning, giving the second baseman his first long ball since May 24. The performance marked his eighth multi-hit performance this month and the third in his four contests, raising his season batting average to .312. The home run was Rengifo's fifth of the campaign. • Arenado belts seventh home run in loss Thursday
Nolan Arenado went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run against the Reds on Thursday.

Advice: Arenado’s home run was his seventh of the season. He’s struggled mightily this year with a .258 average and .691 OPS. Arenado finished third in the National League MVP voting just two years ago, but has hit .262 with 33 home runs and 127 RBI in 218 games since then.

    • Quiet in return
Arenado went 1-for-8 over both games of Wednesday's doubleheader versus Atlanta.

Advice: Arenado played all 18 innings Wednesday at third base in his return from a left forearm injury. He didn't make much of an impact at the plate, but it's encouraging to see the 33-year-old play both halves of the twin bill. He's down to a .254/.310/.364 slash line with six home runs, 32 RBI, 26 runs scored and one stolen base over 73 contests this year. The Cardinals have occasionally used Brandon Crawford and Brendan Donovan at the hot corner, and they could continue to be an option there if Arenado is out of the lineup or limited to designated hitter at any point in the future, as his forearm issue is believed to be a lingering one. • Back in lineup, batting sixth
Arenado (forearm) will start at third base and bat sixth in the first game of Wednesday's doubleheader versus Atlanta.

Advice: Arenado had been set to return Tuesday from a left forearm injury before that game was rained out, but he'll remain in the lineup for the makeup game. The sixth spot in the batting order represents the lowest that Arenado has slotted in his four seasons with the Cardinals. He's slashing just .257/.315/.371 on the season and hasn't hit a home run since June 5. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 7:26 am

    • Getting day off Tuesday
Hayes is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Reds.

Advice: Hayes had made seven consecutive starts -- going 3-for-25 (.120) at the plate with three RBI during that stretch -- but will give way to Jared Triolo at third base Tuesday. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 12:47 pm
    • Back in lineup
Arenado (forearm) is playing third base and batting sixth Tuesday against Atlanta.

Advice: Arenado missed a pair of games with left forearm soreness, but he's back in the starting nine for Tuesday's contest. Prior to the injury, Arenado was batting 17-for-66 (.258) in June with six RBI and four runs. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 12:10 pm
