      Advice: Soriano left the game in line for the loss, but Jo Adell's grand slam off the bench spared the right-hander from a second straight defeat. Soriano has allowed four runs in five of his outings this year, including three of his last five starts. He's at a 3.86 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 52:25 K:BB over 58.1 innings across 12 appearances (10 starts) on the season. The 25-year-old is projected to make his next start at home versus the Padres.       Advice: Muñoz needed just 15 pitches to get through the outing with 11 of them going for strikes. The right-hander has been absolutely dominant as of late with a 1.42 ERA and 12 saves for his troubles. To say he’s not in danger of giving up his closing gig is quite the understatement.       José Soriano gave up four runs in his six innings of work in a no-decision Friday against the Mariners.

      Advice: Soriano allowed seven hits with a couple of walks while striking out three. this could have been a much worse outing based on how things went early on, as he allowed three runs in the first before settling down. The 25-year-old has now given up four runs in back-to-back starts, but in both of those outings there have been quality moments for Soriano.       Yelich went 5-for-6 with a stolen base, two doubles, five RBI and one run scored in Friday's win against the White Sox.

      Advice: Yelich collected his first five-hit game of 2024 and fifth of his career, achieving the feat for the first time since Aug. 17, 2019. The former MVP has been resurgent since returning from a back injury May 8, hitting .321 (25-for-78) with one homer, six stolen bases, 16 RBI and 14 runs scored.       Christian Yelich went 5-for-6, drove in five runs and stole a base in a 12-5 win over the White Sox on Friday.

      Advice: The Brew Crew were able to pick up 23 hits and six walks against the overmatched White Sox. Yelich was responsible for nearly a quarter of those, and two of them were double, giving him six on the season.       Jake Burger went 3-for-5 with a couple of runs scored Friday in the win over the Rangers.

    • Records fifth steal in loss
      Gelof went 1-for-5 with a stolen base in an extra-innings loss to the Rays on Thursday.

      Advice: Gelof snapped an 0-for-18 slump with a single, while his steal was his fifth of the season but first since April 21. Last season's encouraging rookie campaign is increasingly in the rearview mirror for Gelof, who's now sitting on a .176 batting average and .512 OPS across 162 plate appearances. A significant season-over-season increase in strikeout rate (27.3 percent to 34.6 percent) and a notable decrease in line-drive rate (25.5 percent to 16.5 percent) have contributed to a steep drop in his BABIP (.331 to .258).       Miller was charged with a blown save in Thursday's 6-5 loss to Tampa Bay in 12 innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on one hit and three walks over two innings. He struck out four.

      Advice: Jose Siri's game-tying homer in the bottom of the ninth was the first given up by Miller this year while also resulting in his first blown save in 12 chances. Despite Thursday's hiccup, it's been an excellent start to the season for the 26-year-old Miller -- his ERA now sits at 2.08 with a 0.88 WHIP and 51 strikeouts, the most among qualified relief pitchers, through 26 innings.
