    • Pulled after four innings in loss
Woo (3-1) took the loss to the Guardians on Wednesday, allowing three runs on four hits and one walk with one strikeout over four innings.

Advice: Woo struggled early, allowing an RBI single by Josh Naylor in the first inning and a two-run home run by Steven Kwan in the second. He rebounded with two scoreless innings but was pulled after just 64 pitches with a 3-0 deficit. Considering he hasn't pitched since June 6 with a forearm injury, the Mariners were likely just being cautious with Woo's workload. Woo still owns a sparkling 1.67 ERA and 0.61 WHIP in 37.1 innings, but his current 5.97 K/9 is well below his 9.55 rate last season. He tentatively lines up to face the Rays early next week. • Bryan Woo yanked after four innings
Bryan Woo allowed three earned runs in four innings on Wednesday against the Guardians. He struck out one, walked one in a loss.

Advice: This was Woo’s first start in 13 days after yet another health scare and he was not sharp. It took him 30 pitches to get through the first inning and he had trouble settling in. He retired the final seven batters he faced after Steven Kwan took him deep in the second inning, but without missing many bats. He forced just five whiffs and Guardians’ hitters fouled off 22 of the 64 pitches Woo threw in this forgettable start. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:09 pm
    • Strikes out nine
Greene allowed just two hits over 6.1 innings in a no-decision Wednesday against the Pirates. He struck out nine.

Advice: Greene was dominant Wednesday, matching a season high with nine strikeouts while turning in his first scoreless outing since May 3. However, the right-hander was stuck with a no-decision as the Reds couldn't break through against Mitch Keller in an eventual 1-0 loss. Still, it was an impressive performance from the 24-year-old Greene, who had struggled to a 5.60 ERA while issuing 12 walks over 17.2 innings in his previous three starts. Overall, he's 5-2 on the year with a 3.35 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 98:37 K:BB across 88.2 innings. Greene's currently scheduled for a rematch with the Pirates at home in his next start. • Hunter Greene posts nine strikeouts vs. Pirates
Hunter Greene matched a season-high with nine strikeouts over 6 1/3 shutout innings on Wednesday in a no-decision against the Pirates.

Advice: Greene locked horns with Pirates starter Mitch Keller in a throwback pitcher’s duel on Wednesday afternoon at PNC Park, limiting Pittsburgh’s lineup to just four baserunners (two hits and a pair of hit batters) into the seventh inning. The hard-throwing 24-year-old right-hander’s four-seam fastball velocity was up slightly in this one to 98.5 mph as he generated an impressive 17 swinging strikes, with 16 of those courtesy of his fastball/slider combo. It was a relief to see him avoid handing out any free passes in this one after issuing a season-high five walks in his previous outing. He’ll carry a solid 3.35 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 98/37 K/BB ratio across 88 2/3 innings (15 starts) into a rematch against the Pirates on Tuesday back in Cincinnati. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:49 am
    • Chased in fourth inning
Civale didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against Minnesota, allowing four runs on seven hits and two walks across 3.2 innings. He struck out five.

Advice: While Civale kept the Twins scoreless through three innings, he unraveled in the fourth. The 29-year-old surrendered a single, a walk and a pair of doubles to consecutive batters, all with two outs, before being replaced by Kevin Kelly. Tuesday's start marked Civale's first time failing to complete four innings this season, and he hasn't added a tally to the win column since April 9. In 76.1 innings of work, Civale owns a 5.42 ERA and a 1.39 WHIP with 79 strikeouts. He's tentatively scheduled for a road start against the Pirates to end his two-start week. • Perfect for save No. 13
Jansen earned the save Tuesday against Toronto, striking out one batter during a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: Jansen has now converted on nine straight save chances and hasn't allowed a hit or walk across his last 2.2 innings of action. He's picked up a save in four straight appearances and is tied for the fifth most saves in the American League. Overall, Jansen owns a 2.70 ERA and a 30:11 K:BB across 23.1 innings. • Aaron Civale gives up four runs in no-decision
Aaron Civale gave up four runs over 3 2/3 innings on Tuesday in a no-decision against the Twins.

Advice: Civale didn’t end up factoring into the decision as he was long gone before an extended rain delay ground this one to a halt. He managed to keep the ball in the yard, but still surrendered seven hits, and was unable to escape the fourth inning. He finished with five strikeouts and issued a pair of walks. He’ll bring a lackluster 5.42 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 79/22 K/BB ratio across 76 1/3 innings (15 starts) into a road matchup on Sunday against the Pirates. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:12 am
    • Jansen picks up 13th save in win over Blue Jays
Kenley Jansen pitched a scoreless ninth in Tuesday’s win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Jansen has now picked up saves in back-to-back days and has recorded four saves in the month of June. The hard-throwing righty has allowed one run in his last 6 1/3 innings pitched while striking out eight batters to just one walk. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:48 pm
    • Solid effort ends in no-decision
Gray allowed two runs on five hits and two walks over 7.2 innings in Monday's 7-6 win versus the Marlins. He struck out four and didn't factor in the decision.

Advice: Gray pitched into the eighth inning for the first time this season and left the game up 4-1, but the bullpen couldn't hold the lead. The four strikeouts were a season low for Gray as he worked fast and efficiently, needing only 84 pitches to record 23 outs. The veteran's ERA now sits at 2.95 with a 1.02 WHIP through 13 starts.
