    • Removed with wrist injury Saturday
Ruiz suffered a wrist injury on a diving catch in the sixth inning of Saturday's win over the Marlins and was removed from the game, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Ruiz appeared to hurt his glove hand and remained down for a brief time following the catch, cradling his left wrist as he exited the field with team trainers. Seth Brown replaced him in left field, and Ruiz could well be headed for a day off in Sunday's series finale, at minimum. Rotowire.com 16 minutes ago

    • Belts eighth homer
Greene went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Yankees.

Advice: The 23-year-old led off the game by taking Clarke Schmidt deep, giving Greene his third long ball in the last five contests and extending his hitting streak to seven games. The fifth overall pick in the 2019 Draft is beginning to live up to that pedigree, slashing .276/.401/.552 through 33 contests with eight homers, 16 RBI and 26 runs. Rotowire.com Today, 7:06 pm
    • Esteury Ruiz leaves game with left wrist injury
Esteury Ruiz was removed from Saturday night’s lopsided victory over the Marlins with a left wrist injury.

Advice: The 25-year-old speedster suffered the injury while making a tremendous diving catch in left field. Fortunately, it appears to be only a minor issue and the A’s are considering him day-to-day. Ruiz had been 1-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI prior to departing. Rotoworld Today, 6:59 pm

    • Wyatt Langford exits game with leg injury Saturday
Wyatt Langford was removed from Saturday night’s battle against the Royals after suffering a leg injury while running to first base.

Advice: The 22-year-old phenom hit a slow tapper out in front of home plate and was much slower than usual getting to first base. The exit could have been precautionary, with the Rangers holding a big early lead in the game, but we’ll know more when they provide an update on Langford’s status. Stay tuned. • Departs with hamstring tightness
Langford exited Saturday's game against the Royals in the fifth inning due to right hamstring tightness, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: Langford slowed up noticeably while trying to beat out a dribbler in front of the plate in the top of the fifth inning and was removed for defense prior to the bottom of the frame. The rookie figures to be sent for an MRI to determine the extent of the injury. Langford was hitless in three plate appearances Saturday before being lifted. Rotowire.com Today, 5:28 pm

    • Max Scherzer (thumb) currently in holding pattern
Max Scherzer (back, thumb) is currently in a holding pattern when it comes to his rehab process.

Advice: The 39-year-old right-hander was scratched from a rehab outing earlier in the week due to inflammation in his thumb ligament. While that issue hasn’t gotten any worse, it also hasn’t improved over the last couple of days, causing the Rangers to kind of put everything on hold. They’ll continue to take things day-to-day until he feels improvement and is ready to resume playing catch again. Obviously that means there’s no clear timetable for when he may take the mound for the Rangers. Rotoworld Today, 4:38 pm

    • Bo Bichette ejected from Saturday’s ballgame
Bo Bichette was ejected from Saturday’s ballgame against the Nationals after spiking his helmet in frustration to a questionable called-third strike.

Advice: The slumping 26-year-old shortstop appeared to take exception to a pitch that grazed the outside corner against him, and he took out some frustration on his helmet. Home plate umpire Jonathan Parra didn’t take kindly to that though and gave him the heave-ho. He’ll catch the rest of Saturday’s game from the clubhouse. Rotoworld Today, 2:36 pm

    • Riley Greene hits leadoff homer in loss to Yankees
Riley Greene went 1-for-3 with a solo homer in a loss to the Yankees on Saturday.

Advice: Greene socked his eighth homer of the season Saturday, and it came to leadoff the game off Clarke Schmidt. The 23-year-old has been outstanding in 2024 with .276/.401/.552 slash over 116 at-bats, and Greene is more than talented enough to keep this going while hitting at the top of the Detroit lineup. • Picks up seventh steal
Altuve went 1-for-4 with a run and an RBI on Friday against the Mariners.

Advice: Altuve had a productive day from the leadoff spot that included the go-ahead RBI in the seventh inning. He also stole his seventh base of the season and third in his last two contests. Altuve has seven homers across 146 plate appearances while hitting .348, providing excellent production across the board. Rotowire.com Today, 10:15 am
