    • Mashes fifth homer
Olson went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double, a home run and four RBI in Tuesday's 7-0 win over the Cubs.

Advice: After hitting the ball hard most of the early part of the season with little to show for it, Olson got rewarded for his efforts Tuesday, driving in his first run with a first-inning double that had an exit velocity of 105.2 mph before he belted a three-run bomb off Jameson Taillon in the fourth that left his bat at 108.2 mph. Over the last eight games, Olson is batting .310 (9-for-29) with two of his five homers on the season as he gets back into his 2023 form. Rotowire.com Today, 1:22 am

    • Dominant in Tuesday's win
Sale (6-1) picked up the win in Tuesday's 7-0 victory over the Cubs, scattering two hits over seven scoreless innings. He struck out nine without walking a batter.

Advice: The veteran southpaw simply overmatched Chicago's hitters, and the only runner to get into scoring position against Sale came after one of his two HBPs on the night. He generated 30 called or swinging strikes among his 92 pitches as he produced his second straight quality start and fourth of the season, and Sale will take a 2.54 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and eye-popping 61:8 K:BB through 49.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home early next week against the Padres. • Eight Ks in no-decision
Pivetta came away with a no-decision in Tuesday's 5-4 extra-innings win over the Rays, allowing two runs on four hits over 5.2 innings. He struck out eight without walking a batter.

Advice: The right-hander generated an impressive 32 called or swinging strikes among his 81 pitches, but both runs off Pivetta came on solo shots by Josh Lowe and Randy Arozarena, with the latter chasing him from the game one out short of his second quality start of the season. Pivetta has served up five homers in two starts since coming off the IL, a worrisome trend, but he'll carry a 3.48 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 22:2 K:BB through 20.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come on the road this weekend in St. Louis. • Hits monster homer
Stanton went 2-for-5 with a solo home run during Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Twins.

Advice: Stanton launched a 427-foot homer in the third inning off Chris Paddack for his ninth long ball of 2024. The 34-year-old still owns a huge 34 percent strikeout rate, but he owns a .236 batting average and is slugging .471 -- both would be his best tallies since 2021. Stanton has hit safely in eight of his last nine games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:25 pm
    • Stanton hits ninth homer of year vs. Twins
Giancarlo Stanton went 2-for-5 with a home run in Tuesday’s win over the Twins.

Advice: Stanton hit his ninth homer of the season in the third inning when he took Chris Paddack deep for a solo blast, giving the Yankees a 3-1 lead. A true feast-or-famine player at this stage of his career, Stanton is still good for the occasional homer and has plenty of opportunities to drive in runs batting in the middle of a potent lineup, but shouldn’t be viewed as anything more than a desperation play as far as fantasy is concerned. • Nick Pivetta bounces back with solid effort vs TB
Nick Pivetta allowed two runs on four hits in 5 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Rays.

Advice: Pivetta struck out eight on the day while walking none, but he was doomed by two solo home runs. The right-hander got back on track after his rough return from the IL, posting a 29 percent whiff rate and 40 percent CSW. His sweeper was particularly dominant, getting five whiffs on eight swings and posting a 47 percent CSW. Pivetta also threw his curveball 1.3 mph harder than usual and found some success with it, so that’s something to watch for future starts. He’ll take a 3.48 ERA into an appealing start against a reeling Cardinals offense this weekend. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:27 pm

    • Chris Sale stays hot in domination of Cubs
Chris Sale threw seven shutout innings in a 7-0 win over the Cubs, allowing just two hits and striking out nine.

Advice: He’s now allowed just two runs over his last 25 innings. Sale’s slider carved up the Cubs all game, with a 44 percent whiff rate and 34 percent CSW on the pitch. The average exit velocity on all contact against Sale was just 81 mph as the left-hander mowed down the Cubs’ order. The effort gave him a 2.54 ERA on the year to go along with 61 strikeouts to just eight walks in 49 2/3 innings. He has been every bit the ace he was back before his injuries and there’s no reason to doubt he can keep it up as long as he can stay healthy. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:53 pm

    • Matt Olson has two hits, HR in win over Cubs
Matt Olson went 2-for-3 with a walk and a three-run home run in a win over the Cubs on Tuesday.

Advice: Olson took a fourth-inning pitch from Jameson Taillon and clobbered it 432 feet at 108.2 mph off the bat. He also had a 105.2 mph double in his first at-bat of the game. It hasn’t been the best start to the season for the slugger, but he’s still barreling the ball an impressive amount pulling the ball more than ever, and swinging and missing only a little bit more than normal. His zone contact is the highest it’s been since 2021, so both the power and batting average should be coming shortly. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:46 pm

    • DJ LeMahieu (foot) set for rehab assignment
DJ LeMahieu (foot) will start a minor league rehab assignment later this week with Double-A Somerset.

Advice: LeMahieu has been on the shelf all season due to a fracture in his right foot and a couple setbacks. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:03 pm
