      Crochet (5-5) allowed two runs on three hits and a walk while striking out 11 over six innings to take the loss Sunday versus the Orioles.

      Advice: Crochet was able to extend his scoreless streak to 24 innings, which began with his last two frames versus the Cardinals on May 5. It came to a close when Adley Rutschman took him deep in the sixth inning of Sunday's contest, and that was enough to snap Crochet's four-start winning streak as well. On the bright side, he earned a fifth straight quality start and reached double-digit strikeouts for the third time this year.     • Garrett Crochet takes tough luck loss on Sunday
      Garrett Crochet allowed two runs on three hits over six innings in a loss to the Orioles on Sunday.

      Advice: Crochet struck out 11 and walked just one, but the two-run homer he allowed to Adley Rutschman in the sixth inning proved to be the difference in the game. The left-hander tied the Orioles up all day, getting 18 whiffs for a 38 percent whiff rate and 37 percent CSW. He now has a 3.68 ERA on the season with 85 strikeouts in 63 2/3 innings. Anybody who dropped him after his poor three-start stretch against the Twins, Phillies, and Reds in mid-April is probably kicking themselves now as Crochet has allowed just five total earned runs in six starts since then.       Advice: Montas has allowed 12 runs (11 earned) across 15.2 innings over his last three starts, though he's avoided taking a loss in any of those games. The Padres got to him early Thursday before he bounced back and finished strong. The right-hander is at a 4.61 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 28:16 K:BB over 41 innings across nine starts this season.       Frankie Montas was charged with four runs in six innings in a no-decision against the Padres on Thursday.

      Advice: This could have gone a lot worse. Montas gave up all four runs in the first two innings, but he was effective enough to give Cincinnati — and fantasy managers — six innings despite allowing nine hits in the contest. The right-hander has been shaky at best for Cincinnati over the first third of the season with a 4.64 ERA over nine starts as evidence. He’ll try and lower that mark next week against the Cardinals.       Crochet (5-4) picked up the win Tuesday against Toronto, allowing two hits and one walk with four strikeouts over six scoreless innings.

      Advice: Crochet has tossed 17 consecutive scoreless innings and earned a victory in each of his last four starts. While he fanned fewer than six batters for the first time in five starts, the 25-year-old retired the first 13 batters he faced. Since his ERA peaked at 6.37 on April 24, Crochet has yielded three runs over 28.0 innings to lower his ERA to 3.75 overall. He's lined up to close out the two-start week Sunday against the Orioles.       Garrett Crochet pitched six scoreless innings while striking out four in the White Sox’ win over the Blue Jays.

      Advice: You couldn’t have asked for a much better outing out of Crochet. While it wasn’t a dominating performance, the lefty held the Blue Jays’ lineup to just two hits, while walking only one batter. Crochet continues to be one of the few bright spots for the White Sox, as he’s now won five games on the season and is sporting an era of 3.75.
