  • Benintendi homers as White Sox fall to Dodgers
    Andrew Benintendi went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Dodgers



    Advice: Trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the first after a leadoff homer by Shohei Ohtani, Benintendi put the White Sox on top when he smacked a two-run homer to deep right field to score Tommy Pham and give the White Sox a 2-1 lead. That lead didn’t prove to be enough, as the Dodgers bounced back courtesy of a two-run homer by Freddie Freeman and an RBI single by Ohtani.     Twins RHP prospect Matt Canterino has been shut down from throwing due to right shoulder soreness.

Over his four starts with San Diego this season, the rookie has gone 0-2 with a 7.27 ERA, 1.96 WHIP and 11:16 K:BB in 17.1 innings, numbers that make him an untrustworthy fantasy option. Jimenez was noticeably gimpy while running the bases in Sunday's 11-2 loss to the Tigers in his first game back from a stint on the injured list due to a left hamstring strain. The apparent aggravation of the hamstring injury won't cause him to miss any starts, at least not yet.
