• Throws bullpen session
Stewart (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Sunday and is scheduled to throw again Wednesday and Saturday, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Advice: The right-hander landed on the injured list with shoulder tendinitis in early May and received a PRP injection a few weeks later. If all goes well Stewart could progress to a simulated game early next week. It's possible he could return in early July before the All-Star break, but his recovery has moved at a slow pace. • Homers in loss
France went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday's 11-3 loss to the Rays.

Advice: France singled in the third inning and hit a 427-foot two-run home run in the fifth. He had been mired in a 1-for-20 slump since returning from the IL with a heel injury June 18, and the homer was his first since May 31. On the season, the first baseman is hitting .238 with eight home runs and 29 RBI over 235 at-bats. Rotowire.com 18 minutes ago

  • Clubs leadoff homer in win
Ohtani went 2-for-4 with a homer, a walk, two RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 4-3 win versus the White Sox.

Advice: The Dodgers' designated hitter crushed Chris Flexen's fifth pitch of the game 376 feet for a leadoff homer. Ohtani has now batted atop the order eight consecutive games while hitting .419 (13-for-31) with five homers, 14 RBI and 10 runs scored. The Japanese superstar may be on his way to a third MVP campaign as he's slashing .318/.395/.626 with 24 homers, 63 runs scored, 60 RBI and 16 steals over 356 plate appearances this season. • Homers, drives in four in win
Rortvedt went 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBI in Tuesday's 11-3 win over the Mariners.

Advice: Rortvedt walked in the fifth inning, hit a two-run home run in the sixth and added a two-run single in the seventh. The catcher has enjoyed a great June, hitting .333 with three home runs and 14 RBI over 45 at-bats. The 26-year-old only has 15 at-bats against left-handed pitching this season, but he is slashing a solid .282/.369/.405 with three homers and 23 RBI in 146 at-bats against righties. • Trevor Larnach goes 0-for-4 in loss to Arizona
Trevor Larnach went 0-for-4 and grounded into a double play against the Diamondbacks on Tuesday.

Advice: Larnach hit three balls over 100 mph tonight, but he had no luck with any of them. He’s batting just .218/.254/.382 this month on the heels of an already poor May, and one wonders if the Twins might have him and Matt Wallner, who has been red hot in Triple-A, swap spots in the near future. • Signs MiLB deal with Royals
Tinoco signed a minor-league contract with the Royals on Tuesday.

Advice: Tinoco elected to become a free agent after being DFA'd by Texas and clearing waivers last week. He allowed nine earned runs in 10 innings with the Rangers, but the Royals have deemed his 3.72 ERA and 1.36 WHIP in Triple-A worthy of a spot in their Triple-A bullpen. • Active in win
Palacios went 2-for-4 with an RBI, three runs scored and a stolen base in Tuesday's 11-3 win over the Mariners.

Advice: Palacios doubled and scored in the second inning and then walked and scored in the sixth. He had a huge seventh inning, hitting an RBI single, stealing second and coming around to score for the third time in the contest. Palacios has tallied three multi-hit efforts and two steals in his past four games and is now hitting .249 with four home runs, 16 RBI and 12 stolen bases over 197 at-bats in 2024. • Tallies three hits in win
Naylor went 3-for-4 with an RBI and three runs scored in a 10-8 win over the Orioles on Tuesday.

Advice: Naylor was active early, doubling and scoring in the second inning and then singling and scoring the third. He hit an RBI triple and came around to score again in the eighth. Naylor finished a home run shy of a cycle in his first three-hit effort of the season. Over his past five games, Naylor has gone 8-for-18 with six extra-base hits, five RBI and six runs scored. On the season, the young catcher is hitting .202 with four home runs, 17 RBI and 22 runs scored over 168 at-bats. Rotowire.com Today, 8:39 pm

  • Suffers seventh loss
Flexen (2-7) took the loss Tuesday against the Dodgers, allowing four runs on six hits and three walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out three.

Advice: Things went poorly for Flexen from the get-go as Shohei Ohtani led off the game with a 376-foot homer to right field. The 29-year-old righty has made nine starts since his last win against the Rays on May 8, producing a 5.81 ERA, 1.57 WHIP and 35:19 K:BB over 43.1 innings over that span. Flexen looks to capture that elusive third win in his next start, tentatively slated to be against Colorado this weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 8:39 pm
