  • Benintendi homers as White Sox fall to Dodgers
    Andrew Benintendi went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Dodgers



    Advice: Trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the first after a leadoff homer by Shohei Ohtani, Benintendi put the White Sox on top when he smacked a two-run homer to deep right field to score Tommy Pham and give the White Sox a 2-1 lead. That lead didn’t prove to be enough, as the Dodgers bounced back courtesy of a two-run homer by Freddie Freeman and an RBI single by Ohtani.   • Jake Meyers has three-hit night vs. Rockies
    Jake Meyers went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Rockies.

    Advice: Meyers was responsible for three of the Astros’ nine hits on the night and was part of the team’s five-run first inning. Meyers singled in the first to drive in Yordan Alvarez from second and later came around to score himself.   • McCormick drives in two in win over Rockies
    Chas McCormick went 1-for-4 with two RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Rockies.

    Advice: McCormick’s two-RBI single in the first capped off a five-run inning for the Astros, who sent all nine batters to the plate against embattled starter Austin Gomber.     Ibanez went 2-for-4 with a run scored and two RBI in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Phillies.

    Advice: Ibanez continued a strong June, as he's now batting .314 this month with six RBI and six runs scored across 15 games. The utility player is batting a solid .284 overall, and while he's not providing a ton of power, he has been a solid bat for the Tigers. Ibanez's biggest question moving forward is playing time, though Detroit figures to find creative ways to get him into the lineup even if he's not locked into a regular starting role.   • Nick Gordon scores game-winning run vs. Royals
    Nick Gordon went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Royals.

    Advice: Gordon’s RBI single in the seventh inning tied the game at 1-1, giving the Marlins life after being shut down by Seth Lugo for six innings.   • Harrison Bader has two hits, HR in win
    Harrison Bader went 2-for-4 with a home run, a steal, and two runs scored in a win over the Yankees on Tuesday.

    Advice: Bader’s home run was a 419-foot shot for his fifth of the season, and the stolen base was his 11th of the year. Bader has been playing regularly as the Mets’ starting center fielder and should continue to see regular at-bats with Starling Marte now out for at least a month.   • Henry Davis (concussion) starting rehab assignment
    Henry Davis (concussion) will begin a minor league rehab assignment on Wednesday with Double-A Altoona.

    Advice: Davis landed on the concussion injured list back on June 15 and is apparently feeling well enough to get back into game action.   • Beginning assignment Wednesday
    Davis (concussion) will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Altoona on Wednesday, Noah Hiles of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

    Advice: Davis has been on the 7-day concussion IL since June 15, and Wednesday will be the first time he's played in any sort of game since then. The Pirates haven't indicated how long the 24-year-old's assignment might last, though it's possible he remains in the minors upon being activated after slashing just .153/.267/.235 across 101 major-league plate appearances this season.
