• Jalen Beeks blows another save Thursday
Jalen Beeks blew his second save in as many days against the Athletics on Thursday.

Advice: Beeks started the ninth inning with a one-run lead and immediately gave it up by allowing a home run to Athletics outfield Daz Cameron. He’s now converted just four of his seven opportunities for saves. The 30-year-old left-hander’s grip on the closer role in Colorado seems tenuous at best. Rotoworld Today, 4:02 pm

  • Estes allows four runs in no-decision
Joey Estes allowed four runs in seven innings, struck out six and got a no-decision against the Rockies on Thursday.

Advice: Seven innings marked the longest start of Estes’ young major league career. The six strikeouts were also a career-high for him. He’s still not usable in fantasy, but it was something for him to build on. The 22-year-old right-hander Is set to face the Rays on the road next week.

  • Feltner tosses six shutout innings Thursday
Ryan Feltner threw six shutout innings, struck out six, and got a no-decision in the Rockies’ 10-9 loss to the Athletics on Thursday.

Advice: Feltner cruised through six innings against the Athletics and left the game with a 4-0 lead. The Rockies bullpen couldn’t hold that lead, though. Feltner has just one win in 10 starts this season and his ERA is now 5.07. The 27-year-old right-hander is set to face the Guardians at home next week.

  • To resume throwing
Wells (elbow) plans to resume throwing this week in Sarasota, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Advice: This would be the first time Wells would play catch since May 1, which was right before he was sent for additional testing. The right-hander was placed on the injured list April 13 due to right elbow inflammation. His last outing was April 12 when he allowed four runs through four innings against Milwaukee. • Tyler Wells (elbow) set to resume throwing
Tyler Wells (elbow) has been cleared to resume throwing.

Advice: Wells hit the injured list back in mid-April with right elbow inflammation and has finally been cleared to kick off a throwing program. The 29-year-old righty is still several weeks, if not longer, away from being an option for Baltimore’s starting rotation mix, which took a hit earlier this week with John Means suffering a forearm strain. • Takes sixth loss
Heaney (0-6) took the loss Thursday against the Phillies, allowing four runs (three earned) on nine hits and two walks over 3.1 innings. He struck out one.

Advice: Heaney held the Phillies scoreless until J.T. Realmuto's leadoff homer in the third inning before they'd tack on three more runs in the fourth. It was ultimately another tough outing for the left-hander, who's failed to make it out of the fourth inning in consecutive starts. Heaney's ERA sits at 4.69 with a 1.38 WHIP and 45:13 K:BB across 10 starts (48 innings) this season. He'll be looking for his first win in his next outing, currently scheduled for next week against Arizona. Rotowire.com Today, 3:09 pm

  • Yariel Rodríguez to pitch on Sunday at Triple-A
Yariel Rodríguez (back) will make a minor league rehab appearance on Sunday for Triple-A Buffalo.

Advice: Blue Jays manager John Schneider added that Rodríguez will aim for roughly 30-35 pitches in his second rehab outing. The 27-year-old figures to return as a multi-inning reliever after hitting the injured list in late April due to back inflammation. Rotoworld Today, 3:09 pm
  • Earns fourth save
Hoffman picked up the save in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Rangers, striking out one in a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: Jose Alvarado pitched the eighth inning Thursday, leaving the ninth to Hoffman who'd set down the Rangers in order for his fourth save of the year. The Phillies continue to utilize a high-leverage approach to their bullpen, which has resulted in save opportunities for Hoffman when Alvarado is needed earlier in games. The 31-year-old right-hander has been excellent this year, posting a 1.25 ERA with a 1.02 WHIP and 29:7 K:BB across 21.2 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 3:03 pm
