    • Raisel Iglesias nails down 13th save in win
Raisel Iglesias threw a scoreless ninth inning to earn a save in a 2-0 win over the Nationals on Tuesday.

Advice: Iglesias struck out two and didn’t allow a hit as he picked up his 13th save of the season. He doesn’t get the respect that other elite closers get, but Iglesias has been one of the most reliable options in fantasy baseball for a while now. He has a 2.21 ERA on the season and figures to remain near the league-leaders in saves as the season goes on. Rotoworld 28 minutes ago
    • Max Fried stymies Nationals’ bats in win
Max Fried threw eight shutout innings, allowing seven hits and striking out six in a win over the Nationals.

Advice: Fried has now allowed just one earned run over 17 innings in his last two starts. However, while he carved up the Cubs in his last time out, Fried managed without his best stuff on Tuesday. He had just nine whiffs on 45 swings for a 20 percent whiff rate and 24 percent CSW on the day; however, the Nationals were only able to muster one extra-base hit and couldn’t capitalize on their seven hits. Aces are able to produce even when they’re not executing as well as they can, and that’s exactly what Fried did tonight. He’ll now take a 2.97 ERA into a start against the A’s on Sunday. • Jake Irvin gets tough luck no decision on Tuesday
Jake Irvin threw six shutout innings, allowing just two hits and striking out 10 in a no-decision against the Braves.

Advice: Irvin kept the Braves guessing all night, allowing an average exit velocity against of just 80 mph while posting a 28 percent whiff rate and 27 percent CSW. His curve was particularly effective on Tuesday, and the right-hander now has a 3.43 ERA on the year. He does have just 54 strikeouts in 63 innings, so he doesn’t have the strikeout upside that tonight’s game would indicate, but he’s been solid all season long and could be a decent streaming option against the Guardians this weekend. • Mason Miller shuts door on Rays for 11th save
Mason Miller earned a save by preserving a 3-0 win over the Rays on Tuesday.

Advice: Miller, who hadn’t pitched in two days, didn’t make it easy on himself. After getting the first two batters out, he allowed a single to Yandy Diaz and walked Brandon Lowe to bring the tying run to the plate before striking out Isaac Paredes to end the game. It was his 11th save of the year to go along with a 1.88 ERA. He has emerged as one of the most dominant relievers in baseball and with the A’s proving to be more competitive than many expected, Miller should easily eclipse the 20-save mark this year if he can stay healthy. • Miguel Andujar homers in win over Rays
Miguel Andujar went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in a win over the Rays on Tuesday.

Advice: Andujar took a sixth-inning offering from Zack Littell and hit it out of the park for a three-run shot at 106 mph off the bat. It was his first home run of the 2024 season, but the 29-year-old has been regularly hitting in the middle of the order for Oakland since coming off the IL and has gone 4-for-12 with five RBIs in three games. He’s a career .271 hitter who hasn’t quite delivered on his early-career promise, but perhaps he can get on the deep-league fantasy radar now that he seems to have a full-time job. • Zack Littell takes tough luck loss to A’s
Zack Littell allowed three runs (none earned) on five hits in seven innings in a loss to the Athletics on Tuesday.

Advice: Littell also struck out nine and walked just one. A Brandon Lowe fielding error got the sixth inning started, and after a walk, Littell was able to get two outs before giving up a three-run shot to Miguel Andujar. That was the difference in the game. The 28-year-old had a dominant performance from his splitter on Tuesday and rode it to a 31 percent whiff rate and 32 percent CSW overall. He’ll now take a 3.03 ERA into a showdown this weekend with the Orioles where he’ll be a risky option in fantasy leagues. Rotoworld 45 minutes ago

    • Punches out 10 in loss
Rodriguez (5-2) took the loss Tuesday against the Red Sox, allowing four runs on seven hits and one walk over six innings. He struck out 10.

Advice: Rodriguez got off to a rocky start Tuesday, allowing a pair of runs in each of the first two innings. The 24-year-old Rodriguez would settle in and hold Boston off the board over his final four frames while recording a career-high 10 strikeouts. However, the Orioles couldn't overcome the early deficit in the eventual 8-3 defeat. It's the first time since April 23 that Rodriguez has allowed more than two earned runs in a start -- he'd gone 2-0 with a 1.08 ERA in his previous three outings. Overall, he sports a 3.53 ERA with a 1.33 WHIP and 61:21 K:BB across 51 innings this season. Rodriguez's next start is currently scheduled for early next week in Toronto. • Mitch Spence shuts out Rays in win
Mitch Spence threw 5 1/3 shutout innings, allowing just one hit while striking out four in a win over the Rays.

Advice: This was just Spence’s third start of the season and the first time he’s thrown at least five innings this season. This feels like a bit of a best-case scenario for the 25-year-old, who had just six whiffs on 44 swings for a 14 percent whiff rate and 23 percent CSW. Spence relies heavily on a slider-cutter combination that he threw 80 percent of the time on Tuesday and kept the Rays from squaring anything up. Even though Spence has a 3.52 ERA on the season, he should not be started against the Braves this weekend. Rotoworld 48 minutes ago

    • Rafael Devers has four hits in win over Orioles
Rafael Devers went 4-for-5 with a triple and two RBI in an 8-3 win over the Orioles on Tuesday.

Advice: It was a solid day at the plate for Devers, who had two hits over 104 mph and is now hitting .295 with seven home runs and 19 RBI in 25 games in May. It’s safe to say that he’s rebounded nicely from his slow start to the year, and the counting stats should continue to climb when the Red Sox are able to get Tyler O’Neill, Triston Casas, and Masataka Yoshida back in the lineup around Devers.
