    • Works around four walks in win
Brown (2-5) allowed two hits and four walks while striking out seven over six scoreless innings to earn the win over the Angels on Saturday.

Advice: Brown logged his fourth straight quality start, and he's given up just six runs with a 26:8 K:BB over 24 innings, though this is his only win over that stretch. It continues a positive trend for Brown, who is pitching deeper into games, though his 4.3 BB/9 on the year remains alarmingly high. The right-hander also has a 5.58 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 67:29 K:BB over 61.1 innings through 13 appearances (12 starts). He's tentatively projected to make his next start at home versus the Tigers. • Matt Waldron holds D-Backs to one run over six
Matt Waldron allowed just one run in six innings to get a victory Saturday against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Waldron didn’t have to be at his best with the Padres giving 13 runs of support, but he was pretty close to it. He allowed just three hits over his six innings, and he fanned four while issuing two walks. Since his struggles against the D-Backs on May 5, Waldron has been outstanding, and his ERA has lowered from 5.82 to 3.76 in that timeframe. Another chance to lower that mark comes over the weekend against the Mets. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:08 pm
    • Ryne Nelson lit up for six runs in loss to Padres
Ryne Nelson gave up six runs — five earned — in just 3 1/3 innings to get a loss Saturday to the Padres.

Advice: Nelson allowed six hits, and he also issued four walks while locating just 58-of-91 offerings for strikes. The 26-year-old was coming off a strong start against the Giants where he went 7 1/3 innings while allowing just two runs, but this was much more like the majority of his outings have gone. His record drops to 3-5, and his ERA is now a lackluster 5.96 over 51 1/3 innings. He’s a risky streamer even against a bad team like the White Sox next weekend. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:08 pm
    • Nestor Cortes shaky again in loss to Dodgers
Nestor Cortes gave up four runs while working 5 1/3 innings in a loss Saturday to the Dodgers.

Advice: Cortes gave up two homers, one to Teoscar Hernandez and another to Enrique Hernandez (note: no relation). The left-hander continues to pitch at an inconsistent level, but his 3.68 ERA and 1.12 WHIP help tell the story that there’s been more better than bitter. He’s scheduled to face the Royals on Thursday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:04 pm
    • Gavin Stone holds Yankees to two runs in victory
Gavin Stone limited the Yankees to just two runs over 5 1/3 innings to get a win Saturday.

Advice: Things didn’t start particularly well for Stone, as he gave up a run in the second and then a solo homer in the third. After that, the 25-year-old held the Yankees off the board while picking up his seventh win of the season. He allowed eight hits, but he also struck out six while seeing his ERA bump up slightly to 2.93. Stone is another example of players who struggle in the first go-around who provide fantasy relevance. He gets the Royals next week, barring a change in the rotation order. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:04 pm
    • Roddery Muñoz allows two homers, four runs
Roddery Muñoz picked up a loss while allowing four runs in four innings Saturday against the Guardians.

Advice: Muñoz was recalled to make a start Saturday, and it didn’t go particularly well. The 24-year-old allowed a pair of homers and walked four, although he was at least able to pick up three strikeouts. Muñoz will likely get another chance to start with Miami, but there’s very little fantasy upside when that takes place regardless of the opponent. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:59 pm
    • Ben Lively blanks Marlins over five innings in win
Ben Lively didn’t allow a run over five innings to pick up a win over the Marlins on Saturday.

Advice: Lively only struck out one, but he was still able to keep the Marlins off the board by allowing only three hits. The only extra-base hit allowed was a double to Vidal Bruján, and outside of that it was smooth sailing for the 32-year-old. Lively now has a 6-2 record and 2.59 ERA, which absolutely everyone was predicting before the season started. The Blue Jays are scheduled for next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:59 pm

    • Picks up first big-league win
Miller (1-2) allowed a hit and struck out two over one scoreless inning to earn the win over the Rangers on Saturday.

Advice: Starter Spencer Howard came up one out shy of qualifying for the win. That left the result to Miller, who got the last out of the fifth inning and two more in the sixth to contribute his part of 4.1 scoreless innings by the Giants' bullpen. Miller is on a 6.1-inning scoreless streak and has pitched to a 3.60 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 38:15 K:BB with 10 holds and two blown saves through 30 innings this season. He's also opened four games and continues to operate in whatever role is needed of him from game to game. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:54 pm

    • Narrowly notches quality start
Gibson allowed three runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out seven batters over six innings in a no-decision versus Colorado on Saturday.

Advice: Gibson yielded a run in the first inning but then kept the Rockies off the scoreboard in each of the following four frames. However, the veteran right-hander ran into trouble in the sixth, surrendering a leadoff homer to Ezequiel Tovar and another pair of hits that plated an additional run. Gibson was allowed to finish off the inning to complete the quality start, and he was taken off the hook for a potential loss when St. Louis plated four unearned runs in the bottom of the frame. While the eight hits he allowed tied a season-worst mark and his final stat line wasn't overly impressive, the quality start was Gibson's second in his past three outings.
