Ben Lively strikes out five in win over Rangers
Ben Lively allowed five hits and three earned runs over five innings in Tuesday’s win over the Rangers.
Advice: Lively’s three earned runs all came on solo blasts from Adolis Garcia, Corey Seager, and Nathaniel Lowe. While it wasn’t an ideal way to get through an otherwise strong outing, the veteran righty did about as well as one could hope for against a strong Rangers lineup. He ran into a bit of trouble in the fourth inning, loading the bases after a single and two walked batters, but was able to strike out Marcus Semien to end the inning. Lively earned his second win of the season in this outing and will look to pick up his third on Monday against the Mets.
